Just got this ship today, and dominated the first five battles I took it into. Even citadeled an emerald, koenigsberg, and the Iron Duke in 1 match with this ship. Great addition to any fleet.

@@SpartanElite43 yeah, it is a fun ship. Speed and maneuverability of a cruiser, heavy punch of a battleship. I looked up the ship's history and specs. The guns are 350mm which is 13.5 inch caliber, and it was at the battle of Jutland in 1916.

Correction, the construction of this ship, and later the scrapping of this ship was the result of the Battle of Jutland. The gun caliber is 350mm which is 13.8 in, not 13.5.

I bought her a month ago and I have to say, it's my favorite ship by a mile. I don't play her long range at all, but more mid range and as a close range sweeper towards the end of a match. She's too fast for most battle ships to keep a bead on her at close range and she is great a clearing cruisers that underestimate her powerful secondary's. I find she plays a lot like the Alaska (both are/were Battlecruisers) in terms of what her position in a game is. She has big guns, she's fast, and when played next to dedicated BB's she is great cruiser and DD help. However, I noticed someone say her AA isn't the best, but from what I understand she is supposed to be one of the best AA "battleships" at her tier. I am very surprised I don't see more VPE's out there, so far in my hundred or so games with her I have only encountered one. She was well worth the 40 in my opinion and she offers a far different playstyle to the other Premium battle ships, Arizona and Warspite

You have to aim mid way from the water line and deck in all German BB's no matter how close you are.

Some might argue,but I think this is maybe the best German battleship in terms of dispersion and penetration. Also,spartan I really think that you should consider using franz von hipper on the Bismarck or the Tirpitz instead of Otto cilliax you might get some surprising results!

Repair costs are high and if you're not using Premium time it can be difficult to make silver. Basically you need to try and get consistent damage throughout the match and win the match. My best games usually would only bring me about 70-80k silver without premium time.

Mutsu is very fun if you know how to play Japanese battleships..I wouldn't consider it a brawler since the armor is freaking paper close range...never go broadside with it..like ever..you will seriously get deleted lol..the turret angles on it is insane like the Nagato so it allows to get extreme angles on it and frustrate players shooting at you..guns are pretty trollish at times but man do they hurt when you hit..definitely not a mistake friendly ship..but super fun once you get the hang of it.

Graf Spee is a great as an anti-cruiser ship due to its 283mm guns (same as Scharnhorst); however, it only has six of them and has a base 20-sec reload, making dealing with enemy destroyers problematic if caught off guard. It's Sonar has great range and it has good armor for a cruiser. Mutsu has 16-inch guns, which, at T5, enable it to smash enemy battleships. The guns have questionable dispersion at times, so they'll sometimes miss at longer ranges. Mutsu is also slow and is easily citadel'd from the side. Oh, and it has torpedoes for anything that gets too close.

Graff spee has nice torps, decent guns, and good speed and armor for a cruiser, if you play it well its awesome

Graf Spee is the better option in most situations. I love shoving the Graf down the enemies throat. Mutsu can have its moments but the shatters of the old AP can be really frustrating at times

Good game Spartan. What in the world is going on with dds lately? They dont spot or scout much anymore. That guy sat in smoke behind the Normandie for absolutely no reason I could see. Then proceeded to run away. It was weird

I think they are all afraid of Radar fire spammers even though it is not difficult to avoid incoming fire for 20 seconds in a DD. The problem is by them not spotting they are allowing the firespammers to keep shooting undetected

The reason she has better accuracy is because she is a battlecruiser and wargaming gives battlecruisers better accuracy to make up for poor broadside armour. It's the same with hood and any other battlecruiser in game.

@@mustang_hr hood is good against anything you have to adapt your aim when shooting at different ships hood can citadel cruisers with ease and she can also deal devastating amounts of damage to destroyers and were he ap penetration doesn't allow her to pen battleship armour she can deal as much damage just aiming for superstructure

I'm pretty new to wow. I noticed multiple over-pens on the other Friedrich toward the end. Is there a way of trying to hit a thicker section of his armour in the hull so your shell can rattle around in there, just wondering.

Usually more about angle of impact than base thickness. Spaced armor also plays a role especially in french cruisers. If you are getting a lot of over pens you can try to aim Waterline which would be the thickest part of the armor aiming waterline near midship because you are penetrating torpedo belt, outer hull, and Citadel Armor if you have enough penetration to get through all of that then you are very likely to score citadel hits which deals massive damage. If your shell is traveling too fast and has enough pen it may not arm in time passing straight through the ship doing much less Over Pen damage. Hope this helps! Hi spartan got a question if your running a battleship and to you can put a inspiration on I have a destroyer captain with 1.75 precision of destroyers main guns does that only apply to destroyers or can you put that on your battleship? Any Perks that specify a class such as the one you are asking about only work for that class. So a perk for improving precision of destroyers guns only works for destroyers. Andrew cunningham is the Only Inspiration that increases accuracy of Battleships Main Guns

I’m really not a fan of the ship. I use Hipper rank 10 Legend 1 and it’s very difficult for me to hit anything at range with it. I enjoy your videos. 👍

Personally I don’t like hipper I just don’t feel he brings anything besides the secondary battery range to the table The more I play hide the more I like him over hipper my build is brawler porcupine marksmanship the extra heal thing and then Cunningham and hipper her as the inspirations it’s excellent for up close and dirty

Everyone kinda threw that game at the end. Our DD didn't push out and detect or try to kill the Mutsuki who killed our BB and torped the other even though Fubuki has a huge Advantage in a Gun fight vs Mutsuki.
