I love how Jen explains everything, I feel so identified with her because I also got anxiety and panic attacks before and yoga has been my healing journey as well. I felt everything she said how she used to feel. Also, I love the way she turned the possibilities of love languages, she always got the punch lines 😍😍😍 I’m actually reading that book right now, thank you Jen for being a voice for all of us that used to suffer or are still suffering, anxiety & panic attacks!!!

I am latina and my ex is american. I am healing my anxiety when being in public (I used to get comfortable around people because most of the times I was drinking, not anymore). So, last year I attended his dads funeral. Meeting so many people and under not the best circumstances, I had the worst panic attack of my life. I had to ask for help to a cousin of my ex's because I didnt wanted to worry him. She was a blessing and she helped me so much. But in those moments it's really hard to ask for help or speak your needs. ❤❤❤❤

Seriously, my favorite podcast in the world right now!!! Thank you both so much for being as vulnerable and open to sharing your story as it has been, I don’t think you guys actually understand how much I have learned, realized and healed by watching and hearing you both together and individually. HUGE ¡THANK YOU! 🪞♥️

I love you both! Danny really listens, without disturbing ( that is sooo wonderful ) Jen has a great partner to conversation , man should learn to listen ( not every time stopping a woman and having 1000 advice )! Jen is so mature , in control of her emotions! Danny is a real fighter! I admire you both! Jen - thank you for brining the Anxiety topic ! I will study that more to understand people who deal with it! Now you are my favorite people on the planet❤️🩷❤️🩷

There is a place on episode 8 where Jen complements Danny for taking the lead when it comes to uncomfortable situations like leaving a hotel halfway. Danny doesn't seem to have the container for a compliment like that. It made him so uncomfortable that he had to turn it into a snide comment about Jen. I used to do the same thing with my husband, and I had to work on receiving compliments from him without getting shy.

So true!!! My panic attacks also started at 19. I had them for 5 years not knowing what they were. I just thought something was wrong with me and kept it as a secret, no help or nothing. I just tried to never being alone. Then when I finally googled my symptoms I understood and finally named it. Since then it’s so much easier to deal with this.

I am a bit older than my loving partner by less than a decade. Thankfully his grandmother can't wait to met me as he described my being like his grandmother. Like Danny, I love my former in laws but my partners parents are entrepreneurs and my partners mom coincidentally is in the work I'm doing. Never have I been in a relationship, although seems fast on the outside, to be perfectly aligned. We know who we are & want and connect on such a deep level...truly best friends & lovers. It just clicked and we weren't looking for each other. Now we get to heal the contructs of our mental conditions being in a safe heaven to explore life together. Jen & Danny Thanks for being the spiritual siblings I needed on this journey❤🎉

I have never been to awaken, but I have been following Danny for probably almost a year now, and my life keeps getting better and better. I'm loving Jen more than him in this podcast (I know he'll be happy to hear this), and she brought more love towards myself from episode 1 and it just gets better each week (everytime I watch this podcast). I really want to share a breakthrough or an awakening moment that I had literally 3 days ago, not just because of this podcast, but also because of the webinar I watched for Danny that happened on May 11th. So I've been divorced for 3 years now, and have 2 autistic boys from my previous marriage. I met a new man this year, and to me, he was everything I wished for and more... But! Because he has never been married, doesn’t have kids, younger than I am, wants to have barbies, while I don't! I sat several times with myself asking why not? My "ego" was giving me all the excuses not to be with him: I'm older, I'm tired, I won't have energy for a new baby (which made me realise i need to take care more of my body and food choices), I already have kids, I will be neglecting them, kids take away your freedom, and most importantly the belief that kids are a burden. When I sat with myself and asked where I got this from? It was from my mom.. and I remembered what Danny said in that webinar... "You are your mother". I did not get it fully back then, but after that breakthrough, it hit me deep! I am not in good terms with my mom, but man.. now I know it's time for a good uncomfortable chat with her about this belief. I will do it with the intention of me leaving this life or my mom leaving this life, without regrets of not having this tough conversation. No matter what the outcome will be, I know just talking to her about it, is the right decision to make. I "returned to my heart", because my heart knew he is the one. And that's how he's my miracle, and helped me to find the one... Me ❤️ He has helped me to decide to be the best mom for my future baby (or babies), and my current kids. What I am trying to say is that if you consistently watch these amazing two human beings in this podcast, you will have an awakening after the other and a bigger understanding of the world that lies in you. And "returning to your heart" is the best advice I have ever heard, and when I decided to apply it, my life became a miracle on earth. Bliss! And I highly recommend that you do that. Sidenote: watching Selena made me want to raise happy kids, with the new me. I know it's going to be a wonderful ride!

Gosh. Explaining panic attacks is so difficult because the feelings seem so unreal. It’s like your brain is a computer and everything is totally and completing shutting down. You literally cannot access parts of your brain. I have done an immense amount of work, but they are life changing. I’ve never quite been the same sense. It’s so nice though to understand this CAN be a human experience and others do relate.

I’ve had anxiety most all my adult life but only time I’ve had a true panic attack was on ayahuasca. (And yes while I’ve had hell / anxiety inducing aya ceremonies keep in mind I’ve had 23 ayas plus bufo so don’t let it deter you from doing aya. ). Also the aya didn’t take effect until AFTER the ceremony was done and I was back in hotel room Didn’t realize I could call a shaman into the hotel room so went thru the panic myself. Felt I was dying (and was more than the typical ego deaths I’ve been thru). Was bad but got thru it. Anyhoo I’m rambling. But that was my only time w true panic. Thanks for y’all’s discussion on your love we enjoy it. 👍 Oh and let me say aya has truly helped me with my anxiety. It has lessened sooooo much since I started aya. I just got back from my annual aya retreat and my anxiety is almost non existent.i was so high strung pre ayas. Rythmia Costa Rica is my fave aya place. they do have bigger ceremonies (a lot of peeps ) BUt a ton of shaman and shaman assistants in ceremonies. And ton of bathrooms. 😘

One of the reasons I broke up with my ex was because he vapes… He made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal but it’s so much deeper than the vaping itself. Thank you for mentioning this Danny.

The panic Jen describes sounds like depersonalization/derealization and when it happens it feels like walking and living through a foggy daydream. The panic attacks literally make you crumble to the ground 😩 you don’t feel real. I had to stop working before and leaving the house. It’s better but I’m still trying to heal this.

Very good discussion, I am not even in relationship but want to learn all. You often talk about plant medicine or mashrooms. I know Costa Rica is great, but can one of you mention the mashrooms experience, it does not seam as dramatic as others. I know itis very popular in Europe but now in USA?

I’m really interested in the part about love language and touch, and how that plays out in your relationship..Danny, you said that you knew Jen was the one from the beginning, so my question is.. How did you imagine a relationship with Jen? Did you imagine quality time together, and both of you showing affection, or something else? I would love to hear you discussing more on this subject.

I think I had panic attacks since I was a child. If I was in trouble, I would literally go deaf and couldn’t hear what the adult was saying but see their mouth moving. In college, my heart would beat faster when I would get to work.

Having experienced panic attacks like Jen described, pretty sure it's a chemical imbalance. Need to look into nutrition and supplements! As much as it feels like a psychological/spiritual thing, it can easily be fixed with certain things like vitamin b and magnesium, no drinking, good sleep..
