Toby was really a nice guy and one heck of an entertainer. I lived in Moore, Oklahoma, his hometown, when he came back home after hitting it big. He put on a free concert in a grocery store parking lot and they passed out free watermelon to everyone. He played on a flat bed semi truck trailer and after it was over, he shook everyone's hand and thanked them for supporting him. He really never stopped supporting his community, Moore, the state, or various other people and places. Everyone loved his Dad and he would talk to anyone. Toby will definitely be missed.

@brendandillinger9903 He helped tremendously after both of the humongous tornadoes we had. The 1999 tornado he paid for all the landscaping in front of some schools as well as donating money to help out. 2013 he stepped up once again by donating more money and putting on a benefit fundraising concert. He also funded all the safe room/storm shelters in all the schools. He's done a lot for the area. When you enter Moore on the northside where I-35 is there is a water tower that has his name on it. He also has a little section of a road towards the Moore High School that is named Toby Keith Ave.

When I lived in Hollywood, so far back you could take a right off of Hollywood Blvd., while walking at 3:00 pm and walk right into the Merv Griffin Show. I know because I did that once, and I wish I had done that many more time. But the one time that I went, I saw Rosanne Barr and Jay Leno -both in their thirties and trying to make it as stand-up comedians. It was a great show, she can be hilarious. And Jay was quite funny, Merv was very gentlemanly, the whole thing was wonderful. One bright and sunny day in Hollwyood, California.

It must be a thing all tall men are nice. My husband was almost 6’5” and such a teddy bear. No matter where we went he would always draw a crowd just by being himself. People always wanted to be near him. He passed 12 years ago and is still missed by all that knew him. Thanks for your great recollection of your first month in Hollywood. Great stories!

Another fun one, Jordan! LOVE when you so delightfully give us your Hollywood career reminiscences. Meeting famous folk has its pleasurable and its dismaying incidents, for sure. Working with them has the same. Honestly, you can't have a job in any capacity of the entertainment or Hollywood service industry without having embarrassing experiences. I'm glad most of your experiences at the 2000 after-awards party were positive. Memorable they certainly were.

Went to that museum as well. Let me in for free with my SAG card. Got to do some folley work for an old movie which was fun. When I was looking at the team photos behind the bar of the Cheers set, I noticed that some of the kids were kids I went to school with and knew back in the 70's! Hollywood Trophy was the team sponsor. Weird.

I live 6 miles away from Toby Keith’s home and a little bar and grill, Hollywood Corners he owns in Norman Oklahoma, home to the Oklahoma University. As everyone knows Toby loved OU. My daughter graduated from OU. I was a bit shocked when I woke to the news of his passing. Our local Ch 9 did a whole two part story just broadcast two weeks prior to his passing. It was filmed last October into November where they documented and interviewed him about his journey with his diagnosis. They filmed at his Las Vegas concert as well. Most of the segments circulating are from that short documentary. Seeing that, I thought he must be in the mend (although he was extremely thin and gaunt). I had the morning 9 news on muted and I noticed the clips of that documentary and I thought why are they showing this again, it can’t be, but it was. My father passed 2017 from stomach cancer as well. I thought Toby Keith may have been able to get through it. Caught it earlier, better, newer treatments?

Yeah Toby Keith was a good guy. I liked a lot of his songs. He wasn't one you wanted to mess with. He loved this country and supported our troops. I remember that song how do you like me now, I related to that song from a female point of few. Kind of like in your face, you didn't like me, now look at me. So I got it. Used to sing it to people who dissed me at one time. Most country people know whose that man, red Solo cup. He has a lot great hits. Some that made you laugh. When I heard he had stomach cancer. I hoped he'd beat it since he had that kick ass attitude. He did take up for a lot of people.he was a hit er done kind of guy. I thought he was getting better, that he would beat cancer. Hearing he passed was like a low blow. He was a likeable guy. Wasn't snooty or vain like some country music stars. He's going to be missed. By his fans and the country music community. Rip Keith.🙏🕯️💕🦋🌻🦋🌌🌹🕊️💖🌠. Jordan you are a lovable guy. I do like the videos you bring us. Jah is a Bonus we all love. Your Grandpa. Now Katie. I'm Happy for you. When you first started your channel I thought you were a young kid😊. I thought you were no older than 20. But you have shown you were mature than you looked. My twin that shared your videos with me. Fact you loved Shelly Winters and we loved hearing your stories about her. Fact you wasn't just about Hollywood and had much more to share and show us.👍. Keep doing what you Love, we will be watching. Love, Respect and Positivity Always. Vee and family.✌️🕯️💕🖖🙂🦋🌻✨👍😁👋👣.
