Suggest you max out find potions rather than Howl first. I add points into find potion and 1pt into find item, 1 pt into Grim ward as you get synergy from Find potions (5% dmg per pt). Grim ward then gets 120% increase to damage (20 pts in Find potions = 100% + 20% from flat rate on grim) rather than using howl. War cry, until a body occurs spam grim (40 secs) and end up with a amplify damage type curse. Bonus is 1pt = 1% to find item. With your dual spirit swords and other +skills, find item gets to above 50%. with only 1 initial pt into find item. IST any of these runes into dual 5-6 socket blades into weapon swap for find items to all bodies. Enough pts to achieve 100+% to Battle orders (13) rest into synergies for War cry. and odd pt here and there into find item. 120% increased damage more than doubles your war cry power. More pts into grim only increases the slow down effects and range the grim works, doesn't increase damage output.

I know this is a very old comment but man did this help. I decided to start barb for the first time ever for S3 ladder and I was struggling to transition into hell. Changing one point into Grim Ward changed everything. Thanks.

i watched this video, and try it on my lvl61 barb which. can even pass Den with 2 lightsabre. he is now lvl71 and camping at pit. so much fun. btw, i would like to share that leap is very useful on elites or champion pack when you cannot stun them. i am using spirit and wizardspike to eliminate the resist problem. and he is using wealth runewords. some close call but really fun and did the job. 2 4os monarch and facet poison 5/5 ✌️✌️ and also, he is in hardcore. Good Game. If you're running travi, slap on some Infernostrides+Dwarf Star for that high fire res+absorb in addition to the gold find and all that other stuff. Cheap and effective. Could also Dual Wield a Passion with Ali Baba on switch for Berserk vs Physical immunes + some extra gold find/magic find for using Find Item. Flamebellow helps for the merc in travi too, btw.

Naj helm + armour works aswell. Gives about 120MF, some res and skill. So not bad if nothing else available, currently have it on one of my chars works nicely

I got random barb helm +3 warcry while playing frenzy, respec for singer + 1 point frenzy + grief. Barb became so fun to play after that. Don't know if i should respec to zerker

I rarely see the more Diablo2 focused youtubers use the quickcast functionality in 2.4. Is there a special reason for that? Why not just have a dedicated button for the skills you use on the side, instead of switching all the time?

Good video on an underappreciated build. Spirit and a wiz spike get you over 63 FCR break point, huge mana, big res and open up item slots for big mf like wealth/skullders.

geared up it's really fun and effective too with its moderate dmg and find item good for mfing pits. I run it single player with enigma and most other endgame stuff, just missing another SOJ and 3 more warcry skillers, and with an A5 merc for the aesthetic with dual grief and fort. defs not the 'best' build by so many metrics but heaps of fun and looks super cool!

fun fact.. this build once assembles (around akt5 normal with the spirit swords..) can actually clear normal and most of nightmare solo on players 8.. one of my absolute favorite litte secret builds.. until now that it. boss killspeed is horrible though ^^

Whats the aura on merc? Doesn`t Meditation help for survivability?

Probably Prayer for extra Healing. The aura on your merc hardly matters since nothing really helps you. The only thing that helps you is equipping your act 2 merc with an Insight. If you combine that with a Prayer merc and possibly the Cure runeword you get a lot of passive healing and reduced time on both poisons and curses on you.

Yeah, I’d respect as soon as lvl30. It’s so much easier to pass through the game as a singer. So, just go into it as soon as possible

Never been sure what ''% damage taken goes to mana'' does. Do you replenish mana by being hit? Cause that would be spot on for this build that's always head first into packs of mobs.

It is so amazing how barb is the only one capable of using dual spirit as soon as you can use amn runes. This is a very decent cheap character that can do as good as the regular item find barb. Just set expectations accordingly. The only thing cheaper than this is a fishymancer. But that fellow doesn't have item find

I lvled though the game twice at hardcore as a singer (before ladder and now at ladder). It’s pretty safe because of the stun. It’s advisable to put at least one point at mace mastery and build a Black flail, so you can take bosses and ancients quicker at nightmare and hell. I’d also put one point at berserk, since you may probably face a few physical immune bosses.

Had two of them die in hc ladder to bugs triggered by light+fire enchanteds. One at 89. You die in half a second at high fcrs and can kill others around you. Needs fixing

It does not increase daamge dealt (only reduces defence on enemies, not phys resistance). it does make your merc hit more often and help you hitting bosses when you weapon-swap to something with Crushing Blow.

Nah everything is stunned all the time and battle cry decreases damage so you really don't get hit by physical attacks very often.

@valentin miculete dual hoto is 80 fcr and +6 to skills, which spirit shield falls short on. Also if you want to go more mf you can go iat wizspike + double ist baba for 50 fcr, big mana, 75 all res and big mf. Spirit is fine, just in no way the best in slot in my opinion...it also requires 156 strength.
