The very first Sonic game, and the one that dawned the infamous rivalry between Nintendo and Sega at the time. Beautiful, fast-paced but difficult game for '91. Hard to believe Sonic is basically 30 years old now. I beat the game with all Chaos Emeralds before, though ironically, there was only SIX.

Not just a classic game but one of the most important platformers of all time. It replicated the gameplay somewhat of the Mario games but in my opinion got the movement, jumping and overall challenge done correctly. Sega at their best.

When people say games of the Super NES and below are in 60FPS, (sure it’s running smoothly but when you watch a video of it on KZbin, that’s when it is 60 frames) it doesn’t look like that to me because when you see games like Toshinden 3, Virtua Fighter or F-Zero X, they’re true 60FPS games (you see people, that’s real 60FPS. Because it’s actually smooth and we didn’t get that until the 5th generation). To put it bluntly, 60Hz is more accurate for these types of games.
@Bloodreign13 жыл бұрын
No, these games run at 60 FPS, todays' games run mostly at 30 FPS. KZbin halves the framerate on all the older WOL videos. NES, SMS, GB, SNES, Gen, PCE, all their games run at FPS. Not sure where you got this "these old 2D games don't run at 60 FPS" bit, but you'd be wrong.
