Dude Plunder Patroll is a deck where you can screw up and go +3 without even realizing. Whitebeard. Summon from deck. Redbeard. Equip to a ship to make it a quick effect. Golden Hair. The level 4 water monster that just screams make Bahamut and Toad so long as you didn't use the GY effect. The deck has options galore and the ships being quick effects refresh your hands to use the other monster effects like Lys. Plus they have Booty which fixes their problem with attributes. Maybe something a light monster for Lys or a fire type for Brann. You definitely gotta try Plunder.

@@philithegamer8265 The critical weakness of Lightsworns was their Spells/Traps. 90% of those cards do not synergize AT ALL with their milling. So if you lose them, that's it. You're out of luck. Understandable during 2008. Lightsworns were way ahead of their time. But now, Shaddolls, BA, Metalfoes, you name it. They all have Spells/Traps that synergize well with their mills and graveyard triggered effects. Now, imagine if Lightsworns had that. 😉

A field spell based off the place where Max forges the magical bullets (which should help summon additional monsters as well as a “Skyscrapers” ripe of effect) and a spell making allusion to the tournament where Max uses the bullets (which should help you reuse the Magical musketeers spells and traps effects, sorta like “pseudo-space”). Hi MegaCapital G, I've been using BA for a lot of years now and I have a LOT of replays saved showing how broken this 2021 iteration of BA Norleras turbo version can be and how consistent it is, it's ever better than when they first came out years ago. It doesn't even need Phantom of chaos. And this is after Linkross got banned which was the easiest way to get rid of link-2 fairy for Norleras' summoning requirement. Optimal first turn leave you +4, opponent with 0 cards in hand and you summoning a 10,000+atk monster next turn as well as other things.

I feel like Konami develops a lot of decks that fall short due to a lack of key features. The best decks have good effects, recovery, and easy summon of good monsters in excess. My poor Vendreads had limited effects, no swarming ability, no recovery, and despite being able to use material in the gy to ritual summon, none of its monsters had effects while there so there was no bonus like the Ritual Djinns. Sucks because i really did like the concept at first

Not sure if Magical Musketeers can be considered the biggest flop. I mean, they still are a force to be reckoned with, they're just not as good as their hype was. That's not totally their own fault. It can also be due to the meta they were dropped in at the time, other cards that were in the format that could have restricted them, and many other factors.

Magical Musketeer will likely always do better in the TCG because they don't have to face the OCG staple cards like skill drain and Maxx C, the latter makes Magical Musketeer Max near useless as if they have enough back row for him to get you a lot of monsters, you are also giving your opponent a lot of cards when they drop the Maxx C on it. They only really do okay over here in the TCG because we don't have as many ways to just end their turn as the OCG has, and even over here they will likely never be a tier 1 deck purely because you always need Musketeers and Bullets for those Musketeers, if you get all Musketeers and no Bullets you lose. If you get all Bullets and no Musketeers you lose. They would effectively need cards of both types that don't rely on the other type to be used to search the other type. So for example a monster that just searches a spell/trap on summon, and a spell that searches a monster but doesn't require you to have a Musketeer on field to be used. An in archetype Double Summon would also be nice, to give them something to fall back on if their summon gets negated. And honestly as much as I love the deck and would like to see it being good, I'd rather see them give support to newer decks that need it, like Ancient Warriors, the deck mostly only screwed over by it's typing having nearly no generic support. (Guess it's a jab from the Japanese towards the Chinese to make their hero's of old Beast-Warriors) Or at least print more generic support cards that could help every archetype that uses the odd types. I mean I get it Konami you like Dark/Warriors but other things need some time to shine as well.

Man this deck is so close to being good, but they have a lot of issues. They are normal summon reliant, they lack a win con and lack kill pressure, and their spells/traps are useless without a musketeer on field. I think 2 or 3 new cards could fix this deck. First they need a boss monster maybe another link or a main deck boss that can special summon itself unlike zekial. Next they need a card that can put a musketeer on the field without using a normal. Maybe a spell that let's you special summon a musketeer from deck and if you activate their column effect this turn you can banish the spell from gy to add a musket spell/trap. Another idea is a link that is good for going first. Maybe one that let's you quick effect activate a spell/trap from the deck as long as it meets its activating conditions. These cards will give the archetype a win con and also help to lower the amount of bricks you have to play. This means you could play less musketeers and have more room for staples.

With a single spell it can become a solid deck: Special Summon 1 "Magibullet" monster from your Deck, then you can set up to 2 "Magibullet" cards to your opponents field, but destroy them during the End Phase. That way you can either set 2 monsters for 2 S/T searches or set 2 S/T for 2 extra summons through Max turn 1, making doctor live immediately as well. 2 is a solid number, imagine going to "as many as possible" hahahaha.

@@collingarrison4467 Many archetypes are like that. If you read about them, while we have the 7 bullets and the "demon", we still dont have the "prince". That way they could make an offensive Link 3 (or contact fusion like ABC Dragon Buster) that deals with untargetable monsters as well as the corresponding Spell or Trap.

For people reading this comment almost 2 years after this was released, here is a quick cheat sheet for seeing if a hyped up deck is good: if at any point competent deck builders are running cards like Toon Table of Contents, Magical Mallet, or Double Summon in the deck, the deck is most likely bad. If these get cut later on, the deck is probably rogue tier at best, or the deck builder wasn't that competent. This includes toons, they will never be good.

Man 2017 was a lax year for yugioh man i remember wasting so much money for Caspar and I actually own a deck they were more first turn but after they got a link and WL awakening help benefit from it and made a going second if they aren’t swarmed also what no torridde tribute that was a staple in my deck
