Huge fan, been so since Dax first appeared on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast before he started Armchair Expert, and love Monica and the dynamic they have together. I find their conversations and debates in the fact check the most important part of the show. With that being said, and I get it, it is their show and they can do, and talk about whatever they want, but I’d being lying if I were to say I wasn’t disappointed in them not including the election portion of their conversation.

I’d never heard of this podcast until today, after Sue shared a post about this episode on IG. Went to the post & immediately saw the comments, (which they had shut down which is unfortunate because the feedback was valid). How do you not know how to pronounce an icon’s last name and then on top of that leave the mispronunciation in the episode?!? I mean, it’s Megan Rapinoe!

I totally respect you not being able to air your conversation about the election. That is real and it’s hard right now. But there are many conversations to be had. Hopefully one day we can get one that isn’t quite as raw and difficult. Thanks for all you do!

Sad you didn't share your discussion about the election, but I respect your decision. I hope we get another discussion at some point, however. It feels too big and important to not hear something from you two about it. Especially in the spirit of the show - vulnerability, learning, growth, progression, compassion, etc. - the values that are so central to this show and community, and values that also seem so impacted, really stomped on, after this election.

Gosh, I relate to the love of wagons and porches (though not in my price range). What I learned having a mini cooper ev (a tiny wagon i guess) is that banging around on a commute or errand is where I like it the most. The way it pops from the stop sign, around the truck and is up to 45 mph in a moment while also being low key, quiet and cooling/heating the car before i get in etc. I would buy that car for to live with for a minute and see because there i think is a place for that bop around vehicle. Had to change brake oil and tires on my ev. Literally nothing else in 72k miles. Not trying to proscelytize, I just relate to what was being expressed in that moment.. Dax do you think the battery on this one might not die while sitting in the yard:?

Yes! So they still don't film Monday guests, and they do those interviews in the attic, like we're used to. But the experts on expert are now filmed and so they set up this space in what was black mold paradise (I believe)

I usually listen to the entire podcast, but I had to FastForward to the Fact Check because I wanted to hear what you guys had to say about the election now that the episodes have caught up with the results. But you said in all transparency that you guys tried but it didn't go well. Yes, it would have been weird if you guys mysteriously didn't mention it at all. But I can respect your choice not to air it. It was a lot for all of us to process ❤‍🩹
