It’s a fantastic idea (time-travelling to your own grave, Indiana Jones-ing into your own tomb), great execution, and it’s basically good fans vs bad fans, Clara seeing and accompanying the Doctor in all incarnations and having fun, while the Inteligence just wants facts and clings to canon strictly. It’s a great last reunion for River and The Doctor too. I think people just dislike it for the title’s bait-and-switch.

Who are "these people"? Are they similiar to the vocal minority who don't like Clara? You only have to look at the viewing figures for this, along with the critic reviews to know that it's highly regarded by a huge majority of fans. The lesson yet again is - we shouldn't assume vocal minorities of fans represnt the (often silent) majority. As with most things, it's people who complain who are heard the most. I love this episode and I adore Clara.

It seems that a lot of people like the episode yet there are quite a few comments of "wasn't exactly the best episode I like it tho but, OMG THE CLIFFHANGER THAT WAS CRAZY SOMDMFJXKWLSKZNHSHWUWKSKXJ🥴😵" I feel like I always end up in the communities of the whovian fan base that aren't really fans of 11 which is weird coz he's my favourite doctor but oh well😂 I guess there's just a lot of toxicity in the community especially at the moment (I must admit I'm not the greatest fan of the current era but I feel like I've always tried to express it in a fair way) and I love Clara she's my second favourite companion (I love all of them tho)

Make that the entire fandom. And my poor dad was extra confused because this was the first episode he ever watched! It did, however, intrigue him enough to want to watch more and now he's a big fan. :)

I felt so happy when I heard his voice. I never fully watched Merlin (I Saw bits a pieces but I love what I have seen, but I intend to go and watch it from episode 1, I did know the voice and actor seperatly (I am tryign to say I never put the face to the name to the voice if that make sense, e.g. I guess you could say I assumed they were 3 people). I hope Megan enjoys the following content.

I love this episode so much. An excellent way to wrap up an overall solid season and set up the 50th anniversary. Plus some really beautiful moments with River and the Doctor. That goodbye... oof, my heart. Anyway, looking forward to all the 50th anniversary goodness!

I like how the Impossible Girl arc has that similar predestination paradox like with the Bad Wolf arc back in series 1. With Rose, she was the Bad Wolf who sent those worlds through time and space so Rose can become the Bad Wolf and save the Doctor. With Clara, she jumped into the time stream which created multiple versions of herself throughout time and space to save the Doctor. What brilliant ways to use that predestination paradox.

The biggest mind blowing thought I had when this episode came out in 2013 was , how the hell did the BBC get not just a famous actor, but a world famous A list actor to agree to take part in a British Sci Fi program that for years had been subject to every mickey take possible! Turns out that John Hurt said yes immediately he was asked and was over the moon to take on the role!

This episode is so atmospheric and a great way of using archive footage of classic Doctors to celebrate the 50th and lead into the anniversary. I love the final line of "not in the name of the Doctor" which is a classic Moffat twist from teasing the episode as about revealing The Name of the Doctor, but really his name is the Doctor as he explained. Looking forward to the 50th anniversary reactions.

I'm actually a bit bummed that we won't see "Day Of The Doctor" with Megan in full. Your going to have to chop it up in pieces Elliot, It's like a movie. I actually saw it the following day (Nov 24th) in the cinema in 3D that was a hard 24 hrs to avoid spoilers. Thanks for all your efforts guys, always enjoyable 👍🏼

The intro sequence is cool but the bit with the 2nd doctor running (taken from the five doctors) looks sooo fake it almost ruins the whole bit for me. The fake location just looks god awful! Where are they meant to be? L.A??

@@EMSProductions i just meant you could have shown her 1-2 stories of each classic dr. or watch a history or timeline on the classic series to get her up to date before watching the new series. unless you did, i only saw 2 of your channels videos, so i was just going by what i saw so far. so maybe i am the one that knows nutzink.

Yeah we have just been more focused on New Who so far, particularly as we don't always have loads of time for recording so I prefer to focus on the new series. We certainly will watch some classic who in the future tho!
