He doubted Mahomes and Watson, but was VERY high on Mitchell Trubiski “very accurate, extremely mobile, big arm and can read defenses really well”. Mel Kiper is basically a hype man, he asks GMs what guys they like then watches the film to build a hype case to support their likes.

Mel.. Zach Wilson had 15-20 secs to throw each pass. Additionally more often than not Zach threw to WRs that were W I D E !! 😳😳 Lastly, the competition Zach faced does not warrant a 1st round selection...

I like Mel Kiper, he is one of my favorite draft analysts. We can talk about several things about this Mock Draft. I agree with him, I think we will have 5 QBs in the first round. Maybe 6. Slater is very good, but no better than Sewell.

Ja'Marr Chase would be my 1st pick for WR. His size makes him a safer bet than Smith or Waddle. And Mac Jones would be my 2nd pick for QB. In fact, Jones is a better QB than Lawrence right now. But Lawrence has more natural talent, which I assume will be developed once he gets into the NFL.

I would love Mac Jones on thecPstriots! I would take Wilson over Fields, but not sure that is Atlanta's #1 priority. Their defense is wretched, as they blew so many leads last year. I just don't understand the logic of some of this. Zach Wilson is NOT going to be better than Matty Ice this year, so why not draft the best defensive player where you have a weakness?

Actually no. Goff is basically a bridge QB for them. If Fields is there Detroit will probably take him. I wouldn't, I think Goff got a raw deal in LA. And there are supposed character questions on Fields that are troubling. I'd take Lance. Better upside and no skeletons. If Goff performs well, he can be traded for good value when the guy you pick this year is ready.

@@fujiapple9675 Nothing proven, but definitely worrying. He is a great guy when on campus according to everyone. The reason he's getting undersold in this draft is because supposedly every Coach the NFL talked to regarding him had two pretty big concerns. While he never failed a DT at school there were pretty solid suspicions that he was cheating the tests. Which brings us to the big one: Poor choice in non football friends, EVERY coach who knows him worries he might be the next Sean Taylor, a nice guy with bad friends who might put him in dangerous situations. Nothing on him directly, but the NFL doesn't like high risk behavior. It may affect his stock.

Zach Wilson wouldn't have thrived against the competition Justin Fields played. He doesn't respond well to pressure. The hardest opponent was against coastal Carolina and he didn't look as dominant.

Fields outplayed lawrence this year and last year in the cfp semifinal only the referees came to trevor lawrences rescue. He should go number one hes morr accurate, faster cuz he runs a 4.38, bigger, stronger than any QB in the draft. And he has a better care TD/INT despite having less attempted passes per game ratio than lawrence and wilson he also beat trevor lawrence in The elite 11 camp in high school not once but twice and they still ranked him number two behind trevor lawrence even though he won the elite 11 MVP the coaches at the elite 11 were meat riding lawrence all day scheming for him to win and he lost. When trevor lawrence was tossing up ints left and right last year the media and fans like yourself were still exhibiting support. Name one year in college where trevor lawrence has had a higher qbr and passer rating than fields the the last two years when fields started. Name another year lawrence has had a higher completion percentage on the year than Fields. Also when has justin fields gotten the same excuse and chances for making the same mistakes that lawrence did if not less than lawrence s mistakes...l ill wait. PFF has fields graded over lawrence as the better player. Fields has also beaten more ranked teams and more top ten defenses.

Mac Jones won while making it look easy. His receivers are no better than what Lawrence and Fields had to work with. Olave and Wilson are studs at OSU, and Fields sucked two of his last three games. There are busts at every position not just qb trung.
