Melbourne Trams Route 70 Docklands to Wattle Park Part 2

English - Part 2 Route 70 along Riversdale Road and through Camberwell Junction then to Wattle Park in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs in an A Class Tram. Filmed 26th April 2016. It's one of my favourite routes to drive especially in Autumn as there is so much colour around. Part two is especially pretty as the tram drives along the green leafy streets of some of Melbourne's more affluent Eastern Suburbs. If you haven't seen part 1, be sure to check that out as well.

Es ist eine meiner Lieblingsstrecken vor allem im Herbst zu fahren, wie es um so viel Farbe. Teil zwei ist besonders schön, wie die Straßenbahn fährt entlang der grünen grünen Straßen einiger Melbourne reicheren Eastern Suburbs. Il est l'un de mes itinéraires préférés pour conduire en particulier à l'automne car il y a tellement de couleurs autour. La deuxième partie est particulièrement jolie que les lecteurs de tramway le long des rues à feuilles vertes de certains des Eastern Suburbs plus riches de Melbourne. Het is een van mijn favoriete routes om vooral te rijden in het najaar omdat er zo veel kleur rond. Deel twee is vooral mooi als de tram rijdt langs de groene bladgroenten straten van een aantal van de meer welvarende oostelijke buitenwijken van Melbourne. Als u nog niet deel 1 hebben gezien, zeker om te controleren dat ook.

Česká - Část 2 Route 70 podél Riversdale Road a přes Camberwell Junction pak Wattle Park na východním předměstí Melbourne v třídu tramvají. Natočeno 26 dubna 2016. Je to jedna z mých nejoblíbenějších tras řídit zejména na podzim, jak tam je tolik barvy kolem. Druhá část je obzvláště hezká jako pohony tramvají po zelené listové ulicích některých bohatších východních předměstí Melbourne. Pokud jste ho ještě neviděli část 1, ujistěte se, že se stejně.

É um dos meus percursos favoritos para dirigir especialmente no outono como há tanta cor ao redor. A segunda parte é especialmente bonita como as unidades de eléctrico ao longo das ruas de folhas verdes de alguns dos subúrbios orientais mais abastados de Melbourne. Great video which has brought back memories of my time living in Melbourne way back in 1967. I used to travel from Wattle Park to Swanston St on the 70. If my memory serves me right the route started at Flinders St Station and travelled parallel to the river for a while. I do recall Camberwell and that the final stretch to the Wattle Park terminus was single track from the junction with ? road. Happy days.

The tram ran from the former Batman Avenue that finished at Flinders St Station., along the Yarra River and rejoined at Swan St to its current route.

You and me both, Robert. I also remember the.single line from Warrigal Rd. to the terminus. And of course the old Camberwell.baths public swimming pool in Willow Grove. All such a long time ago. Cheers.

It's too bad that the road wasn't built with an exclusive right-of-way for trams, but the area probably developed during the era when "street cars" were considered obsolete and cities preferred petroleum-fume-spewing buses. That tide seems to have turned.

+Bob Rogers The Melbourne network was built based on the old cable car network. While tram priority is getting some attention, there is still a long way to go before we get any decent full time priority across all routes.

I have noticed that the streets in Melbourne and all other City`s are very straight. Not like the UK. We like corners , as you never know what you will find around the bend. Also I have seen hardly any older cars like we have. And the Tram traffic lights seem to be very confusing to a non resident. Jim.

+jim morgan Not all cities are the same. Central Sydney is a mix of one way streets and curves as well. Central Melbourne is the way it is due to Robert Hoddle the military surveyor and the way he layed out the grid style street layout in 1837.

Hahaha, I can still remember riding through Camberwell Junction on a bicycle before it had traffic lights: the only rule was "Give Way to your Right." FMD it was diabolical!!! What happens at the level crossing? Do you have to cut off? Trams run on 600V, not 1500V. Oh Dear! Just realised, the inescapable dormant Gunzel within! My wife and I were married at the gorgeous Wattle Park Chalet in December 1986. i.e. about 200M due south of stop #59. Wattle Park used to belong to the MMTB. Who owns it now?
