I showed this video to my wife mentioning that this is what I would dearly love. She thinks, after shrugging her shoulders, that we're all crazy and can't understand the pleasure (and metaphorical pain) that we all experience in building our collections. Let alone having the luxury and opportunity to get a music room. Wel done Mrs M an excellent tour and may you continue to add more great LPs to your collection.

Melinda hi 😊 This is simply my subjective take on things, it works for me Take 1: Speakers. I have spent heaps of time trying and repositioning speakers, ignoring much common advice, trusting my own ears; trying impossible positions, and it is worth it IMHO. I ended up with a pretty insane speakers position with the speakers far out into the room, close to sidewalls and dramatic toe-in. Works for me in my room, insane magic, imaging and WOW 😊

I can't believe that you fit most of your equipment on 1 rolling cart!!? I mean you bought like 9 pieces of equipment to drive and power your stereo and it's unbelievable how you put just about everything on that 1 cart. So, I guess it is ok to stack some pieces together, and I am looking at different things because I am finished finding my shelving and racks for my new stereo and you are right in saying to take the time and plan and think and shop around because once the stereo comes in it is good to have a place and system we'll thought out to build that stereo. And yes, I looked at hundreds of videos on stereo equipment and shelving and countless subject matter to make sure that everything goes together. Thank you for contributing to my learning and overall experience on how exciting and rewarding this hobby really is. God bless.

Thanks so very much for this view of your music room. I apologize for being late coming in. I was 4 days in the woodlands. I need my forest time. I love the area rug. So much of interest there. You have a very clean and beautiful set up. A great place to sink into the tunes. For my space, I decided to remove half my CDs from view into small black boxes I got from Amazon. I like to balance the vinyl on view from the CD's, and then in a separate place the un played vinyl. Books occupy the rest of the self space along with stuffed animals collected over the years. Thanks for helping me re think my own space.

I see a little figurine I relate to "NIPPER" the Victor...and after 1929 RCA-Victor Terrier! "Listening "His Master's Voice" on a Victor Talking Machine! I have several size figurines of him, including a cute salt and pepper set. He's one of the most recognized trade marks created! Well...things are looking up...we do, besides the love of records, have something in common...each have that cute "His Master's Voice" S&P set!! I sure hope that hurricane a few weeks ago, did not effect your area. The cookie jar is cute. Very nice room and jukebox! Nice to have all those memories!

There was a bar in Yokosuka, Japan with a sound booth in the back room. Three walls were shelving stocked with record albums, and the front was glass. Your shelves instantly brought me back to the Zig-Zag Bar, where for ten dollars you could check in a case of your favorite beer or gallon of liquor, and Lisa would serve it cold and punch the ticket. The D.J. had two full loose-leaf books and you'd pick one album side for him to play. The place was always packed. You have your own little Paradise there.

It's great having a dedicated music room, isn't it! I now have one and it's my retreat. My albums and cd's at hand, with my guitars hanging on the wall and everything set to just plug in and play. I love the lp frames, I change the covers out periodically and I have an area for photos that I've taken over the years, of artists that I admire. I spend a fair amount of time there. Yours is beautiful! Enjoy!
