me too man...i just finished watching first season on Netflix and wow i liked her on Glee but here wow...there are two types of women i love. One is purely physical. She's on a show where she's playing a strong female, barely wears any makeup at all, and her character is portrayed modestly and proving you do not need exposing clothes to come off as a 'hot' girl. Great interview. Melissa is such a talent: acting, singing, dancing, multi-lingual. Seen her in Glee and several tv shows. She comes across as very genuine. Glad to see the series will focus on weaving social issues of the day into the story lines and rejecting the temptation of marginalizing her as just another pretty and sexy superhero, albeit she is.

She's adorable, goofy and funny - and perfect for the role. First few episodes have been entertaining, and all of the actors ideal for the roles. The writing could be a bit stronger and the characters' depth probed and fleshed out more, but I think that will come in time. Even the Star Trek series (Next Gen, Voyager, DS9) took 3-4 years before they hit their stride. My only concern is the CBS/TV platform, which skews towards an audience of 70 year olds, and its requisite budget limitations. I just hope the writing keeps improving, and that the TV execs are patient and give it time to develop.

I so enjoyed watching the pilot (and by the by, I'm a 32 year old male) It looks like it's going to be a really fun show to watch and I look forward to rooting for Supergirl! She's been one of my favorite comic characters for a really long time and I'm *SO* happy that they finally did the character justice (ha! see what I did there lol) and Ms. Benoist did a wonderful job! How could you not love her in this?! but Seriously though, it's about damn time! Furthermore, *Hooray* for the return of the *bright colored/hopeful* Super persona. Dark and gritty are great, but they have their place, and Superman/Supergirl is *not* a place for it. Well done!

There's not much difference with Kim Possible and Kara/Supergirl, except Kim was a human with abilities like Batman. If Supergirl was a Disney animated TV show, there would be no complaints like "it's feministic." When I was little, I never saw Kim Possible as a girl trying to be a boy, but as an athletic high school cheerleader fighting crime whenever there was trouble and who had a normal life when not dealing with criminals and her enemies. I see the same in Supergirl.
