I wish I know how to describe how I feel about your work. Sammy, when your video starts, everything else stops and fade away, and I had my jaw dropped, my eye lid relaxed, pupils dilated. and then I see colors, sceneries, and the grace of the world. thank you Sammy, you brought me much happiness and peace, and I think you should know that.

Rows and flows of angel hair And ice cream castles in the air And feather canyons everywhere I've looked at clouds that way But now they only block the sun They rain and they snow on everyone So many things I would have done But clouds got in my way I've looked at clouds from both sides now From up and down and still somehow It's cloud illusions I recall I really don't know clouds at all Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels The dizzy dancing way that you feel As every fairy tale comes real I've looked at love that way But now it's just another show And you leave 'em laughing when you go And if you care, don't let them know Don't give yourself away I've looked at love from both sides now From give and take and still somehow It's love's illusions that I recall I really don't know love Really don't know love at all Tears and fears and feeling proud To say, "I love you" right out loud Dreams and schemes and circus crowds I've looked at life that way Oh, but now old friends they're acting strange And they shake their heads and they tell me that I've changed Well something's lost, but something's gained In living every day I've looked at life from both sides now From win and lose and still somehow It's life's illusions I recall I really don't know life at all It's life's illusions that I recall I really don't know life I really don't know life at all

Thanks Sammy, this is absolutely wonderful. I'm 55 yo, and still really don't know life at all. But I do keep learning about it. In fact, I learn a lot about life from young people like you Sammy. Anyway I guess Joni was about 23 when she wrote this and handed it off to Judy for a while. I wonder if Joni realized then what a timeless classic the song would become.

Sammy, you have a beautiful voice! This isn't the first time I've heard you sing, since I've been following you for @3 years or so, but this might have been the first song I've heard you sing that really made me recognize that your talent is unique! I have loved this song since I first heard Joni sing it when I was a boy in the 70's, and I have NEVER found a version that was performed in a style, and with level of personal understanding that matched hers until today! It has never been about the PERSON singing the song, but how the person shares their relatable life experiences to the listener that mattered to me. The voice, although sweet and beautiful, only ever told the story of life's unmet expectations and how to accept them. Your version seems to grasp that distinction. In simpler terms, you said it like you knew what you were talking about, Does that make sense? I hope so. Thanks for sharing this...I won't pretend to know how Joni Mitchell would feel, so I'll just say that I love it FOR her!
