Can we please appreciate the fact that the Milan is one of very few planes able to catch Starfighters in that BR range? God I love that thing so much. Part of me is still mad that Gaijin gave it AIM-9B's and no flares, despite having flares and Magic 1's IRL, France never even used the AIM-9B, but part of me is also happy it has these shitty missiles because otherwise it probably wouldn't sit at such a low BR. Hugely underrated plane, I recommend it to everyone whenever it goes on sale.

I love the Milan but I must contradict you for the sake of historical accuracy; the Milan was only ever tested with 9b’s and all photos of it are shown with that missile. I don’t think it was impossible for it to carry magic 1’s though, and countermeasure pods were probably compatible.

Most Milan players are bomber pilots that wanted something faster after they flew a few dozen games in the F.222, and the rest are the ex Vautour grinders who got sick of no longer be able to run away after they dropped their load (or even able to reach the bombing zones without the air-spawn). AKA rarely any Milan player try's to fight back, despite the plane is capable to do so.

The Kfir Canard is my favorite plane in the game. It singlehandedly brought me to the F-15A from the sakeen in just 2 weeks of grinding. It is the only premium I have ever bought that I consider a worthwhile purchase.

Also low-key the Mirage 3C is absolutely amazing at its BR. The 3-Kill deluxe plane since it faces tons of flares booties with 2 Magics and an air to air torpedo. It bleeds speed, yes. Less than a Draken these days although, I don't know for who that is sad though. It is genuinely amazing against anything besides an F8U and since F5C became a full uptier, even better.

So many fantastic little jokes in this video. So far I've loved the soundtrack, especially the use of "Unwelcome School", the CdG joke about the EBR was also wild. Gonna edit as I get further into this video, but so far, every video has been better than the last. edit 1: I actually laughed so hard I fell out of my chair at the Mirage Detector joke edit 2: I SEE THE MILAN!!! NAVAL MENTIONED!!! I love the Naval unironically edit 3: The Kfir Canard portion was really well done. I've had the pleasure of seeing my local Kfir Canard aggressor fly over my University from Point Mugu and it is spectacular hearing it and watching it dogfight with F/A-18's from the Carl Vinson. edit 4: ok, I'm halfway through the Kfir C.7 portion and you've single-handedly convinced me to not only pick up the Kfir Canard but to play and spade the entire Israeli Tree. Fun fact about the Israeli Mirages (and later early Nesher) : Dassault was not allowed to sell parts to Israel. But not Aerospatiale, another aircraft parts manufacturer. So Dassault was making the parts Israel voyld not produce themselves in the main factory under an Aerospatiale contract with Aerospatiale branding and sent the rebadged stuff to Israel

@@stallfighter .50cals were lighter to load, had a faster belt and were more accurate, the NR-23mm was NOT good, it was slow, had issues with accuracy and couldn’t sustain long firing periods, the 37mm had its own issues, both made the plane heavier, the MiG was solid, but it couldn’t beat the m3 browning, they replaced the m3 browning only on a few f-86 sabres, the Sabre was also outfitted to hold rockets unlike the MiG

@@Tir33nts343 so, point by point: 1) By "lighter to load" you probably mean airfield maintenance, because armament weight of F-86A is 543 kg according to fligth manual, 255 kg for just guns and rounds w/o belts. Cant find total for MiG-15, 239 kg for just guns and shells, and belts add additional 40 kgs. I.e. armament weight is similar. Which is kinda bad for Sabre considering it is still inferior in firepower for no real benefit except easier time holding the trigger. I'm not even sure about accuracy thing because it is a ligther round and is more affected by external conditions. Another problem, 12.7s need some time on target (a lot of cases when MiG-15s returned with a lot of MG holes), which is problematic with increased speeds of jet combat, downright awful for bomber interceptions, and not amazing for ground attacks. Is it worth it for "easy to aim"? USN answered "no" with Panters having 20 mils, same for brits and french, and USAF itself wanted cannons as well, hence F-86F-2 (which didnt ended up well because of gun fumes engine ingestion issue and gun itself wasnt quite ready, NOT because they though "having MGs on jets in 50s is still totally normal"). 2) Regarding NR-23. First of all, 900 rpm is not slow at all for that period (highter RPM guns became a thing only after Korea, short of T-160 debute), you are probably confusing it with NS-37 (early MiG-15s had it), 690-720 m/s was not not good, that is true (although it is with old shells, cant find proper data for new ones that were adopted in late 40s, they had increased charges). Also with 60 rounds per gun their overheating issues had less impact on MiG specifically (they did for turret/tail gunners of bombers and attackers however). 3) MiG-15 had 2 S-21 rockets since *53 (REALLY big 212 mm rockets), and in 1955 it got S-5 rocket pods for 16 rockets per plane total. Not that it mattered in Korea anyway because MiGs were occupied with inteception duties, but it did had A2G armaments. So, in total, with sole exeption of ease of use against fighters (with damage issue still present), MiG armament was superior to MG-fitted F-86s. Later models, like Sabre Dog, had cannons for a reason. Was Korean-era Sabre (A and F models) a bad plane in total? Hell no, it still had some tech advantages like G-suit and instantaneous turn rate combo (will cost a lot of airspeed, use with caution), radar rangefinder gunsight (*at altitude **pls dont use it in dogfight against MiGs past about 1953 it will both kill itself and set MiG-15s RWR), and other things nice for pilot, plus highter top speed and boosted aerlions. But guns sure wasnt one of them.
