Something to note about the 360 situation, hard drives were stupid expensive, with the 120 gig hard drive launching at 180 bucks. The memory card served as a great way to just store saves for someone who didn’t care about installing games to the hard drive. Most retail games didn’t make it digital on the 360 until 2009-2011, and XBLA games had size limits to allow them to fit onto a memory card, so unless you were dedicated enough to spend a lot of money just to reduce load times and have a quieter system, memory cards actually had a place. By 2010 a hard drive was becoming more necessary though, so HDDs became cheaper and the memory card left. They served their purpose well while they were helpful, and left when they weren’t. That’s respectable.

I remember my first memory card. The purple Madcatz 1x with 59 blocks. It came as a set with a madcatz controller for gamecube. Back in the day my younger cousin lived with us so it was "our" gamecube and games. We had tons of games but could only save a handful at a time. It definitely started some fights between us but man were those good memories

@@Kappi__ we already know he has multiple from the Wii Channels episode, he had to buy one off of eBay to record some footage for the channels iirc. definitely has a back-up Wii. plus, he has a GameCube for GameCube games and a Wii U for Wii games, there's literally no reason for him to own a Wii besides the channels and for collecting's sake.
