This song is one of the Memphis May Fire songs that relates to many people and it's scary to know that, it's sad knowing so many people self harm. This song is an anthem for the ones who can't fall asleep at night without the thought of cutting yourself. This is for you.

to a lot of us who did that, myself included, have found some version of what this song means, Memphis may fire just did it in a more direct way and in a more beautiful way with this version. this song is what I was listening to when I was trying my damndest not to cut. a promise to dear friends I couldn't keep. but they might see this if they look through the comments. I wish you the best of luck with whatever your going through, and I hope you find that person who understands you more than anyone else.

@adtrforlifebruh22507 жыл бұрын
chris whitehead I'm guessing they chose 'she' because in general girls tend to self harm more. no this is not an assumption its a fact, they've done studies. and men that self harm tend to not be as open about it. same goes with depression and suicidal thoughts. This is also because society tries to tell men they have to be heartless, emotionless machines.

I listened to this song all day today. This song means so much to me because it describes me and my best friend (my only one). People don't realize that the world doesn't revolve around them and there are people who are just trying to struggle their way through life. People say, "You don't have it as bad as the starving kids in Africa.", but they don't realize that your suffering is a whole different kind of pain. People don't realize the huge difference between living and merely surviving.
