Agreed, but for some people, they do that because they lack the ability to improvise. It’s annoying for us that’s watching; sure but it serves as a way to interact and get the audience involved in the storytelling; which can be a nice aspect if you are a part of chat.

@@marquisealexander1371 And my point is that I prefer this style than the other. The part where he spend time brainstorming was cut in the editing. We will never know how much time is actually spent for making things up. But that is actually shows how experience he is as a GM. I would take half an hour to come up with something, at least.

What's so great about this episode is it also explains why Arne ran when the battle in the temple with Simon and the cult looked like it was about to end with the town getting destroyed; he must have some terrible self-esteem to think he can't make a difference when the chips are down. I'm loving the new series so far, Iron-sworn feels like it moves much faster than the last series, and I love the improved production. I hope you get a lot more watchers for this series, I like your stuff more than Critical Role for sure.

Intense stuff! I wonder how old Arne and Jorunn were when they had to take up leadership. I imagine they were probably practically children, and if so it makes sense that Arne would be too caught up in the idea of "am I good enough to replace my dad". I think it would also contribute to the intensity of Jorunn's feeling of resentment - especially considering she must have sacrificed a lot of her own dreams and goals to fill their fathers' shoes in place of her brother, even without seeing her people suffer. Good luck, Arne!

Great stuff! The plot really thickens. Just a note if I may: The initial attack could have been framed as a Scene Challenge. Scene Challenges are a great way to resolve complex scenes when you have a clear objective (e.g. reach/enter the long hall) and several unknown factors (will the guards see them, etc). For example, you could start with a Face Danger +Shadow to leap over the low wall, another Face Danger +Shadow to get into position, and so on and so forth.
