I like Andre's final words: "I did it, finally". So glad for him. He deserved this, he never gave up. I love how he was confident about himself after running the bend and seeing Liles 1.5 to 2 meters ahead. He never panicked and opened on all cylinders, turbo included. Beautiful and powerful race, a mighty field of athletes.

De Grasse has cemented himself as one of the best ever. Remarkable consistency (medalling in every major competition he has competed in), amazing times at both 100/200 m and some incredible carry jobs in 4x100 relays (his anchor leg runs in both stages this olympics were crazy).

Well now going into the 2024 Olympics We have had 2 World Championships and DeGrasse has managed to win 1 gold medal in the 4x100m but shut out in the 100m and 200m. Noah on the other hand has won 4 gold and and 1 Silver.

It is clear that De Grasse is designed for 200m. He accelerates suddenly towards 70m and in the next 130 there is no way to keep up with him with his physical stamina.

Congrats DeGrasse. You had to work for it but in the end your EARNED it. Great run Fahnbulleh. Guys you need to look out for the Liberian. He's just begun his run in the 200m. He needs to complete the first 100m in 10 seconds or less and he will be unbeatable going the 200m. Coming off the bend so far behind with a quality field like this gives him next to no chance of winning.

@@mankind2393 it's not acceleration it's speed endurance. He's able to hold his speed longer than other sprinters. Christian Coleman is the king of acceleration but can't hold his speed like De Grasse.
