Super impressive double from Bosley. You can see working out with Woody Kincaid helped with his kick

Despite coming up a bit short, Bosley was absolutely fantastic to watch in this performance. Having just claimed the NCAA record in this event, he knew he had a target on his back. He had already run a tough 5k the night before, and took a nice 3rd place. To come back and be so close to winning and to still secure a 2nd place finish is really just a fantastic effort and every step of it just shows in this recording. Well done to all of the other runners in the field, and honestly huge respect to Messaoudi for hanging in there all the way to the end and taking the win. A lot of runners would let Drew have that one, but at the end of the day at a championship meet like this you put all that aside and you just run hard. Incredible levels of pure genuine effort in this race from everyone. Inspiring to watch. Well done to all.

Bosley is amazing., Brutal 5000 the night before and he still has enough left in the tank to almost pull off the 3000 against a deep field. won't be surprised if he breaks his own indoor 3000 collegiate record next year in Boston.

Fair point. However, I am in favor of rewarding the physicality that we saw there. I think in general it is good for the sport. These athletes remember who races honestly and fairly, and I think they are the best judge, it would be interesting to hear what they have to say.

@@Arithmophobia he cut someone off and almost tripped him. That’s pretty widely considered a bad move among runners. Has no one in these comments actually run track before? It’s one thing to aggressively take the lead or aggressively hold an inside rail like many do in track, it’s another to make a move that might directly ruin someone else’s race.

Fouad of Oklahoma State cut off Duncan Hamilton at 6:19 in the race (see 5:14 into this video), tripping him up, then cut off the NAU runner at the finish! He needs to learn to not cut people off!

The winner, Fouad, cut off 2nd place, Bosley, by cutting in front of him then slowing down the last couple strides making him fall. Bad sportsmanship. Stay in the outside lane after you pass!
@emf6621
@emf6621 Жыл бұрын
I agree Fouad should better have kept to the 2nd lane, but Bosley was not cut off. Fouad was clearly moving at much higher speed. Bosley fell because he was dead tired.
@brunobiega
@brunobiega Жыл бұрын
Disaggree here. He was already well ahead when he cut back in, Bosley fell in some kind of last hope for the win, some runners tend to do that as they’re getting passed close to the finish line
@americanpatriot6574
@americanpatriot6574 Жыл бұрын
He might have not wanted to be passed by 3rd place as Fouad slowed down and wanted to finish at full speed, which he couldn’t do since Fouad slowed down right before the line. Some runners don’t like to slow down even if they think they will win, but Fouad was forcing him to do that.

6:41 - clearly no contact and Bosley fell by his own choice / exhaustion / dive. Fouad did cut back partly into lane 1 after the pass, but it seemed to have no effect.

I am so glad that Bosley won this 3,000 meters in a very fine time of 7:48.10, and out kicked the NAU athlete for the NCAA title, because I am so sick and tired of the Lumberjack coach and the school recruiting from countries abroad with elite athletes. Why don't you just recruit from within our own gifted and talented pool? Instead, you have to hunt Worldwide to win an NCAA title and reward FULL RIDE scholarships to non-residence/foreigners in lieu of our Kids! ***( NCAA Two-Time All-American & Former World Class Athlete, JJK)***
