Children that have been abused by parents often have that hatred and anger inside and the healing process isn’t the same for everyone.. you just never know what someone’s going through or whether they really felt justified or whether they were just killing them for some other motive..

Those of us who were abused as children understand how what these guys did feels like the only way out. Unfortunately the word "abuse" has been corrupted by the new generation, much like the word "racism," so people dont take it seriously anymore. Nowdays "abuse" can simply mean a parent giving a time out.

I’m sure their family members are supporting them 😂 is the rest of society safe if they go free?? They brutally executed the 2 ppl who gave them life. Why did all this abuse stuff not come out during trial…? Furthermore, they seem to have 0 remorse and now bc are actually claiming this was justified bc they were supposedly abused lol. Hogwash… 5000 of their family members could want them out that’s completely irrelevant to anything lol. They have 0 remorse for what they did and them and their “fans” are now seemingly trying to justify it 😂 I’m doubtful they’re getting out bc they’ve shown the opposite of remorse and of how brutal the executions were and then the callous nature of their actions post crime.. they will rot in jail. Hopefully youngsters finding out about this case will learn a valueable lesson.. don’t kill ur parents if u don’t want to rot in prison for life.

She allowed it to continue which makes her a monster as well. I never thought it was about money since they were rich already. There was info about how they were buying things after their parents death which made them seem cold, but honestly, in my opinion, I can understand it in a way. It’s like, why should they give a shit what they spend from the person who took their innocence away in such a brutal manner. Of course what they did to their parents was wrong, but what their parents did to them was worse. Imagine finding out that the one person who was supposed to have your back, ended up stabbing you in it so deep that any state of sanity they had was completely compromised. They’ve been in prison for 34 years, they grew up being molested and having that part of their life taken from them, and they’ve been in prison for so long, it’s like they were locked up and thrown away and after experiencing so many years of abuse. It's just with new evidence and the recent netflix series, it's brought back to light again and Michael is just speaking on his experiences. The Menendez brothers didn't have a history of violence before they killed their parents. One of the members of Menudo claims that Jose Menendez drugged and raped him when he was a teenager. I don't know what happened, but it seems that they were most likely abused by their parents. The brutal way they killed their parents strongly suggests that those boys had the kind of pent up rage someone would have if they had been raped by their father.
@Meg-rc5ed18 сағат бұрын
They had 0 history of violence prior to the incidence and have had 0 history of violence after that night. They have been said to have been perfectly behaved inmates. It was a rage filled crime because of what they endured but they have no incidents of violence outside of that 1 night. They are not a danger to society. They deserve their freedom and they should have been freed many years ago.

These brothers were the epitome of spiled brats. They sucked at everything from studies to sports. Wanted everything handed down to them and when their father refused, they tried small crimes first, robbing n all and when that didn't suffice they killed their parents. They used the abuse as an escape goat, they have no proof of that, and the whole game is hinging on making the jury emotional enough to let them off the hook. I don't believe you fully understand what it is to be a victim of domestic violence or a victim of severe childhood violence (and IF you do relate at all to the brothers, it's a shame you're lacking understanding) most victims feel trapped. Most victims fear leaving. Why do you think so many domestic violence victims stay with their abuser? The most dangerous time for a victim is when they try to escape. The abuser 1. fears the loss of power and control unwillingly relented if their victim leaves 2. The risk the victim exposing them. Abuse last for years and years for a reason; the abuser holds the power. Also to say they don't look to abused in nonsensical rubbish. There is no one look or behavior for abuse victims. Logic can fly out the window easily. Also the brothers grew up with wealth and the spending really just aligned with the wealth they'd always known. If they were so "happy" Erik wouldn't have struggled psychologically and emotionally the way he did which is what caused him to go to his therapist and confess. He was tortured by what occurred because if he wasn't? He'd never had said a thing. Did also have evidence showing that they did confide in others about the abuse and people suspected abuse as well. They had over 50 people testify on their behalf for a reason.
