I’m in tears over here. The clothes thing is so real. My allergist told me it was in my head and wanted to refer me to a psychologist. I told him no one wakes up and thinks “today, I’m going to my Allergist to tell him I’m reacting to my clothes”. He rolled his eyes. Thank you for posting this!

In the beginning she liked the cologne that I wore, she actually loved it! Then all of a sudden she thought it smelled awful, she also said that I needed to wipe off my deodorant because of the way it smelled? It was the same deodorant I've always wore, she picked it out lol. She has had a couple of times when she stopped talking to me for a period of time, but she always gets back in touch. The last time I saw her it was Christmas. I took her and her girls (10 and 12) some gifts and she was ecstatic! We planned an outing for the next day and I showed up a little bit early (as I always have) and I had never seen her like she was before! It's like she was a different person, almost like a different personality! She told me that I needed to leave lol. It really isn't funny and I only say this because prior to this when she stopped talking to me she told me not to text her don't call her and don't come to her home and then we were back fine after that lol. But basically I am getting with you ladies to see if this all sounds familiar???

Thank you so much for your videos ! These have been so helpful for me. My mum and her mum were 36 and 38 respectively when they were in early perimenopause and I'm about to turn 38 and the past few years have been difficult for me. I felt like I was going crazy because I had no idea these symptoms were perimenopause/menopause related. I was just expecting hot flushes and night sweats because that is what mostly gets talked about. I've started the process of going to the Doctor- she accepted I'm in early perimenopause because I took a laundry list of symptoms with me, can't have HRT yet though because according to their chart things aren't bad enough yet. Got to keep going though because my mum ended up developing osteoporosis by not having HRT. Mum hit menopause at 42 so I'm hoping for a similar short timeline 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi Sam, when I first started feeling the first symptoms like you I did some research, actually a lot. If you are still getting your period watch out if you don't stop bleeding. See a doctor if it goes over your normal time frame. There is medication to stop it and continue the following month. I became so ill by letting it go for a month. Next, take maca root. It helps the hormones. Helping you to feel better. It's safer than black cohosh which is cancer causing. Lastly to help your bones, taking calcium supplements can cause acid reflux, I use a once a week tablet called calciferol. It's a vitamin D thing that converts to calcium in your body. Much nicer on the tummy. Good luck on this journey, the only nice thing is no more sanitary stuff at the end.

Brownies are even worse if they're fudgy (my favorite texture). Those just cause all-out nausea. Chocolate ice cream seems okay-ish in small amounts. Chocolate bars or chips are problematic beyond a modest amount. Some have said I'll live longer without all that fatty chocolate anyway, which isn't actually true. It'll just SEEM longer!

These are also symptoms of sensory processing issues- a key part of autism or ADHD- which is proven to get much worse during peri/menopause. Meno is a time when a lot of women are getting diagnosed. I’ve noticed a trend of neurotypical people getting an easier transition through menopause because they weren’t already very sensitive to begin with. Anyone agree?

My mom is struggling with the taste, her doctor thought it was caused by covid but it is so bad that there are few foods she can actually tolerate now as most foods taste bad to her now. Personally I struggle with the feeling hot most of the time I constantly have a fan going almost all year long, I also find myself smelling cigarette smoke on occasion when there is no one around smoking and it is horrible.

If you weren't aware, kiwi issues or allergy can also mean a latex allergy. Something to know for medical purposes. Other foods, avocado, chestnut, passionfruit, strawberry, and tomato have the same irritating properties. On a separate note, if you are severely allergic to poison ivy, stay away from cashews and mangoes.

I was always the person that could smell things, that others doesn‘t, but now it’s getting worse and worse. I have avoided my room of the kitchen for one week now, because my husband ripped of the tiles to place new ones for the new kitchen soon arriving. I can‘t handle the 30 years old glue under the old tiles. Smells like the sweat from a years unwashed dinosaur 🙈. He looked at me as i‘m turning in someone he didn‘t know until now as i ran from the kitchen avoiding puking as he called me in a week ago…

All of a sudden, I can not have Garlic or Onion. This is a biggie. EVERYTHING has Garlic or Onion in it. For example, store bought broths, Campbells soups. Garlic (of any kind, fresh, granulated, powdered). The only thing I can tolerate is Garlic infused olive oil. And I used to love garlicy stuff. Onion is a bit better, I can tolerate it in small doses. I can't have fizzy drinks any longer either. No pop for me, no Sparkling Water. Zilch. Hate it. But, it is what it is.

@@KariAnneWright I may eventually have to wear a wig. Right now I'd say I've lost about 20% of my hair. The volume looks less. But so far I don't have any patches of loss or anything that looks like alopecia. But I definitely can't hot roll my hair and then style it really voluminous like I used to. It's just too thin.
