Thank you so much for your videos ! These have been so helpful for me. My mum and her mum were 36 and 38 respectively when they were in early perimenopause and I'm about to turn 38 and the past few years have been difficult for me. I felt like I was going crazy because I had no idea these symptoms were perimenopause/menopause related. I was just expecting hot flushes and night sweats because that is what mostly gets talked about. I've started the process of going to the Doctor- she accepted I'm in early perimenopause because I took a laundry list of symptoms with me, can't have HRT yet though because according to their chart things aren't bad enough yet. Got to keep going though because my mum ended up developing osteoporosis by not having HRT. Mum hit menopause at 42 so I'm hoping for a similar short timeline 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@KittynFranky76433 ай бұрын
Hi Sam, when I first started feeling the first symptoms like you I did some research, actually a lot. If you are still getting your period watch out if you don't stop bleeding. See a doctor if it goes over your normal time frame. There is medication to stop it and continue the following month. I became so ill by letting it go for a month. Next, take maca root. It helps the hormones. Helping you to feel better. It's safer than black cohosh which is cancer causing. Lastly to help your bones, taking calcium supplements can cause acid reflux, I use a once a week tablet called calciferol. It's a vitamin D thing that converts to calcium in your body. Much nicer on the tummy. Good luck on this journey, the only nice thing is no more sanitary stuff at the end.

I have sensitivity to certain foods, smells, and temperatures. It drives me insane. Also, I have always been an introvert, but am really becoming more sensitive to noisy crowds than I was before. I love going out and doing new things but am finding that I can't tolerate being in crowds for very long. I need to hurry back home to the quiet. I hate that because I was always adventurous before.

I had to see the Dermatologist yesterday for my auto immune rash that usually disappears in a week or so. It just wouldn't go away. Have you heard of this?

All of a sudden, I can not have Garlic or Onion. This is a biggie. EVERYTHING has Garlic or Onion in it. For example, store bought broths, Campbells soups. Garlic (of any kind, fresh, granulated, powdered). The only thing I can tolerate is Garlic infused olive oil. And I used to love garlicy stuff. Onion is a bit better, I can tolerate it in small doses. I can't have fizzy drinks any longer either. No pop for me, no Sparkling Water. Zilch. Hate it. But, it is what it is.

I understand. Everything has lemon juice in it too. It’s hard to buy many things like hummus and yogourt. I have to read every label.

What type of collagen do you use?
@KariAnneWright2 ай бұрын
I use two liquid collagens. Both contain a triple collagen matrix but one also helps with fat burning and lean muscle maintenance and the other contains biotin for extra help with skin, hair and nails. They are called Trim and Biocell Beauty. I’ll leave the affiliate link here with a discount attached in case you’re interested in checking them out. Https://modere.com/3485745

I am one year post menopause and my hair is just now starting to get pretty thin. It’s disheartening. I’m finding ways to style it so you can’t notice the thinning.
@KariAnneWright3 ай бұрын
@@reachhonduras8955 It is upsetting. My hair is so thin it’s almost gone. The wig is the only answer for me right now.
@reachhonduras89553 ай бұрын
@@KariAnneWright I may eventually have to wear a wig. Right now I'd say I've lost about 20% of my hair. The volume looks less. But so far I don't have any patches of loss or anything that looks like alopecia. But I definitely can't hot roll my hair and then style it really voluminous like I used to. It's just too thin. So sad what aging does.
