When a narcissist puts their hooks in you during the love bombing stage, they have created a bond that is so tight that often times, there is little bad they could do that will completely sever that bond. It's like a drug addict being addicted to crack. We (the victims) are constantly chasing that high that the narcissist gave us in the beginning. In our minds, we "know" the person can provide that euphoric feeling for us again. The problem is that we just don't realize that it was all a front to hook us in the first place. We didn't know that's just how the narcissist operates. But we continue to put up with the bs given to us by the narc because we are hoping that the "representative" that was the man/woman of our dreams in the beginning would show up again. Unfortunately though, that fairytale is long over.....and our nightmare begins. So it's not very easy to let go of a narc until they go waaaay past our boundaries that makes us finally say ENOUGH! So Mr. Narcissist.....please understand, that we keep taking you narcs back after these empty apologies are made because you all make that bond so strong and hard to release. That's why your wife left you several times and then came back. She was trauma bonded to you. So please don't get frustrated and sit on your high horse saying you wish we'd just stop accepting the empty apologies and leave. It's not so easy for us because we are hoping that the wonderful person that made us fall in love will show up again. And all will be right in the universe for us. Thanks for reading my rant. And thanks for your insight, candor and perspective.

Waited until he went to work. The night before parked the U- haul around the block next day told the kids let's go. Left everything but a few pieces clothes in our possession. After 30 yrs I was done. Left him a letter and told him I'm gone. July 1st going on a yr of NC. It was always I'm sorry I wouldn't do it again. His baby mother n I had babies the same day, multiple infidilities, invalidating, disrespect, gaslighting, trauma bonding everything. He saw nothing wrong with any of it. There was so much more that I lost myself. Now through the children I'm the love of his life he misses me deeply. I'm like ok stay the heck away from me. What he fails to understand is that If it was up to me I would have taken him back already like I done so many times, but God has spoken. I'M DONE. He squandered all those chances before. I'm now learning about myself what it is about setting boundaries, self respect, and overall loving me. I met him at 14 and married at 18. In my opinion I had no business at that age getting married but that is what happens when there are no guidance or role models present.

Even when not dealing with a narc, in general these words are so true and a great advise to follow: ( around 6:24 ) “You discarded them, now they promise you everything you wanted. That means they knew the entire time what you wanted and needed, they just withheld it on purpose” These phrases make so much sense and yet people need to be reminded of that simple logic because it’s easy to lose sight of the big picture when you’re in the middle of it.

I educated myself about NPD, learned about grey rocking, informed my family what I was planning to do and felt that was the only way I could get him to leave. Gray rocking was extremely difficult because it escalated his aggressive behavior, but he could not tolerate the grey rocking and eventually left and I went No Contact. We work at the same place, and I even avoid him at work with the help of my co-workers that stop him when he tries to come into my office. I pray he will eventually leave this town since he has no family here and they are all up north. He left in Sept 2020 and I have been focusing and working on myself ever since.

It has been a blessing and an eye opener for me. Your KZbin videos have helped me more than anything, including counseling which I am currently receiving. Not, to say counseling isn't helpful or necessary. However, listening to a Dx'd narcissist be open and honest has been more beneficial to me. A therapist can tell you what they've read, been told or experienced with patients. But, they have rarely had any personal experience with a narcissist. I've shared your KZbin with other women who are involved with or married to a narcissist.

the way you said : "God is with me on this journey".. its true. i think its really great and inspiring to take something like your disorder, become self aware and turn it around into something like this, where you are helping thousands of people every day!! This is called a glow up😁😁😁 Thank you for everything you do, your video helped me leave my abusive relationship of 5 years. God gave you this for a reason because he knew what you can do for all of us. Keep up the good work, we are all proud of you and your family 💪🤘

My ex said to me on my daughters bday, “I never listened to you did I?” And I cried and talked and he listened all day. I felt so validated for like the first time in a long time. He was just doing to try to get back with me though, which soon became obvious when I told him he couldn’t spend the night again. And that I thought he was weaseling his way back in.

I'm literally so proud of you lovely. I've had so much experience with narcissistic relationships. From my dad to several romantic relationships. I've figured out that it's a disorder similar in a way to ptsd, which I have. All it takes is looking inside. Mindful actions. Seeing everything and being true and authentic. I'm so overwhelmingly happy that you are doing this and helping and leading the way to inner growth and healing. Bless your soul mate. Much love and light to you. Good job 🕊🤍🕊

My ex husband was physically and emotionally abusive so I had him arrested, got a no contact order and protective order against him and served him divorce papers while he was in jail. I’ve been no contact for 2 years and divorced for a year. The look on his face was priceless when I walked out of the courtroom after the divorce was finalized.

Lee, never let anyone tell you that you are evil. It's not your fault for having the disorder...you are doing the best you can for being better person for yourself, your kids and the whole humanity. Nobody is perfect and completely sane. There is a difference between awerrenes and working on yourself than being an as* and blaming others for yourr own mistakes or missfortune. God bless you.🍀

Lee, thank you so much for having the courage to own it, to accept it, and having the courage and COMMITMENT to change! I have a narcissistic son, and he mostly treats me with contempt. It's evil, the effect his gaslighting has, and all the rest. I started watching Dr C on Surviving Narcissism - BUT he is not a Narcissist! And when I came across you on youtube THEN I understood, what is going on in my son's mind, and how I have contributed to the problem by at some level allowing it. Whenever I tried to address the problem, or the behaviour, he would make it into a game of words, a game where there was only one winner, and it was never going to be me! I saw for the first time the smirk that showed he got a rise out of getting me upset or angry, so horrible! So bless you Lee, I really never could have understood unless I watched your stuff! I'm binge-watching right now, as I have to decide how to handle this is I don't want the light constantly rained on in my life! For once I have to assess what is best for me! God's grace will guide me too, and my prayers will be with you living in the light! 🌈🙏🏼🌈

told my narc husband to leave after a another raging episode where he called me names, accused me of cheating and put his hands on me, first time in 19 years, figured it was only going to keep getting worse. He then sulked for few days then said he agreed but would take him 3 months to move out. Called his old girlfriend from 40 yrs ago (who husband had died) a week or so after told him to leave. During 3 months he wore his wedding ring in ‘support’ of our marriage even though he had started an affair but he didn’t know i knew, lol. During 3 months he was so civilized, then last few days before moving truck came he love bombed a bit hugging me and saying he cared about me, i smelled good and appreciated all I did for him, ugh! Then said he couldn’t handle any more rejection yet told our friends he made this decision to leave even said same in email to me few months later, rewrote reality! He wouldn’t go to counseling, he certainly never apologize, we have been divorced 3 months and they are getting married next month. She is in for scary and rude awakening!

Three years of a roller coaster of emotions where I thought multiple times about leaving but didn't. He then was the one who ghosted and discarded me. I'm the one working on the healing and moving on, blaming myself as well. You are right that I had become emotionally dependent on him and the times I've told my friends, "He broke me". Thank you for your perspective and for helping me see the other side and what to be strong enough to do if this were to ever happen again.

I kicked mine out the day after Mother’s Day .... I gave in a couple times but we’ve been no contact for about a week. He’s blocked across the board. He was calling me from other devices but that stopped. I’m pretty sure he’s found another supply.. it sucks but I started back to therapy Monday and moved in with my parents to stay strong. I don’t understand why I’m struggling to let him go but I keep telling myself it’ll get better with time
