I have a friend up in Tillamook who said they got rain too! I saw it on the weather map when I zoomed out of the area I'm in.

Oh wow first time I ever saw this show up in my end of video suggestions! Came on the same day as posting too, but I have been tired and busy.

My 2005 W211 CDI has plastic splash cover skirts that cover both of those corners. They weren't originally on my car but once I got part #'s, tracked down & bought them on ebay.

Oh wow nice touch with the foam on the lift pillars. Most mechanics don't care or take the time to protect the customers

Can't wait for the headlight polish video :D

He did one a few years back. His headlights need work. If I had to name a single problem with new cars, I would say plastic headlights. Every car has their own beam pattern.

Great job, Peter! These areas are so often overlooked. I had similar situation with VW Passat MY 07 and trunk drain, where the overflow pipes were blocked and the parking sensor module got flooded. (Not so serious). 🙌🏼

Extremely helpful. W124 has the same problem 👏

Great video. There is a rubber Grommet missing from the centre drain under the bonnet. They do perish over time. I dont drive my CL550 in the rain, however all owners need to ensure these drain chanels are clear.

One major damage that water and debris accumulating in the cowling can do when it goes inside the cabin is that it can destroy your w221’s suspension module control, which controls the suspension and adjusts the tension for each wheel independently. Costing you hundreds of dollars of repairs at the stealership.

Too much automation. If that suspension system worked as well as struts, I wouldn't be looking at Strut Masters. Rember that car that would start wrapping the shoulder strap around you? Late 80's YT Video Search: Automatic Seatbelts - Why They Were Used & Why They Went Away! It was really lame.

Most post 2000 MB have this problem. You can also attach a length of plastic tube to the vaccuum nozzle with tape , and then poke it down the drain tubes and vaccuum out any debris, or even just apply vaccuum to the top of the drain tubes directly. MB design was not the best regarding this issue , the tubes trap leaves and any nuts/seeds which fall from trees.

Good Job! Get that engine and bay to shine like a Harley. You need a screen to cover the drain area. Facial Exfoliating sponge? Aquarium floss? I think my son was cleaning those areas on his Mercedes. I have to do my Tundra. >.

I didn't see it spray out at you but I did see your reaction and shortly after, I heard something like a small rock or pebble hit the ground. I would have wondered if you would have put the tube all the way down and poke through to the bottom. That tube could be useful for the sunroof channel too?

The simple stuff is so easy to get lazy about but it all needs doing. I didn't know that poor drainage could damage the on board computers.

You know what else would be great? Do the sunroof drain tube too. That can get clogged for this age and years.

Is there similar drains in W906 Sprinter?

@@LAactor I've only had the ESP fail on my 01 benz and I just yanked out the plug for it in the trunk lol. 3 years later it's good. oh and have only done 5,000 mile oil changes to that car.
