When he says I blame myself for what you've become it breaks my heart...because it is true. All Morgana wanted was understanding, and acceptance. Had Merlin revealed his magic they could have grown together through power and as people. Instead he hid behind a mask and his fear making her feel crazy and lost. Given a different option Morgana would have become a different person, but she was pushed down a dark path by the ignorance and cruelty of others until she finally broke. I'm sorry my Lady you deserved better.

Everybody just blames Merlin for what happend to Morgana. How would he know when that dragon and Gaius was telling him to never trust Morgana. Merlin was in a pressured and stressed situation. He did not know better. I'm not saying it's right, but I'm saying it's an explanation, not an excuse. In addition, Morgana turns on Gwen and Arthur without a fair reason.

Those two were the perfect match. Morgana was rejected for what she was, and because of that, became cold and distant. Merlin understood the feeling well. He could have been her salvation. Love changes people for the better, and even at the moment Morgana died, there was still love in her heart. For Mordred. I wish that these two could have been together. It would have changed Morgana's character completely, gave her a redemption arc.

Morgana kill anyone who cross her plan even innocent people.Merlin already did everything to save her.Sent her to Druid who can help her,not trying to kill her no matter how bad morgana was.She don't care about Arthur or Merlin or Gwen at all,Merlin not reveal her darkside to Arthur or Uther,Merlin always gave her chance to change but she choose to become evil.He even advice her to use the magic for the good sake.Her life much better than Merlin.She had no reason to become evil.

Morgana's transformation is one of the most unwholesome change that I have seen a fictional character go through. It is just so unsettling. This show starts off so refreshing and light, a semi-comedy. There were so many directions the story could have gone in, but they turned it into a dark and bleak tragedy.

Well its not his fault entirely. He wanted to help her more and be more forthcoming with her but he got some bad advises from gaius and the dragon who wanted his best but didnt really understand. The dragon warning about her drove merlin apart and at odds against her in the end and became self fulfilled prophecy...

It wasn't really his fault he wanted to but he couldn't let's say he did help her but both of them got discovered and killed all his work would have been for nothing he wanted to but Everytime he DIDN'T do what others advised him it went wrong but the ONE time he did it was worse no matter what he did it would always be a bad consequence in return I felt bad because he genuinely looked like he loved and/or cared for her even when she became evil.

Would love for a spin off on if Merlin didn't turn his back on Morgana and build there relationship in to a romance and brought them together to then in the end be able to both stand beside Arthur and Gwen at the end as 1 big family ruling magic and non-magic together as kinda a 1 kingdom with 2 kings and queens. He didn't unlike her he had family and friends to comfort him. Morgana family all died and ppl she once cared for as well. It shows loneliness and delression

Imagining living with someone like Uther Someone that at any slightest point if he finds out who you are he'll have your head It's not easy at all And she grew over the years with that fear that turned hatred. It was justified The first time Morgana tried to kill Uther was because he killed Gwen's father but she didn't go.along with it He hatred really heightened when she found out that she had magic and knowing fully well that she can never be herself and will forever continue to live in fear whilst living with Uther It became worse when Morgause came in and became the point of no return when she found out he lied about her origin.... he's actually her father but because he's ashamed of her he lied about it.... knowing fully well that she is senior to Arthur, she takes it upon herself to get what is rightfully hers and bring back a world of magic.....but Morgause was just a wrong influence that made her make bad choices Merlin should have stepped in Cos Merlin helped a lot of people like her but when it was her turn he didn't do anything mostly due to the Dragon...so I don't fully blame him But then again he didn't do his best at all because he wanted to let those knights kill her....of it was Arthur for instance that did that let's say because he was angry with his dad about his mother and Arthur was just angry and made a repulsive decision like that....Merlin knowing fully well Arthur is the source will definitely find another way to save Camelot rather than letting the knights kill him.....Merlin really didn't try enough for Morgana.... because it would have definitely been avoided and that's why she hated Merlin because he tried to poison her The reason she hated Gwen was because Gwen was going to take her throne ....if she didn't have that dream her likeness for Gwen wouldn't have changed...Her Sister morgause just poisoned her to the pint of no return Morgana's evil arc could have been avoided but it was inevitable..... It's just sad Cos I don't consider her a BAD person .....just bad circumstances that brought about bad decisions leading to bad character

He had bad advice. If only he followed his instincts and shared with her, his magic. She wouldn’t have felt so alone and lost. Feeling lonely due to abondamment is bad enough, but it surely is very replaceable with someone who can truly love you and make you forget anything you lost. Be it a friend or a sister or anyone. They would have turned out beautiful if he only decided to follow what he thought was best.

What I found sad is when Morgana discovered she had magic, the first person she went to was Merlin, not Gaius her physican for years not Gwen her best friend at the time but Merlin, she trusted Merlin more than anyone; saw his heroic moments I think Merlin poisoning her was the last straw; when she was posioned she was dying as well as looking enraged at what Merlin did; it is ridiculous on how many times he could have killed her but allowed her to live; I also blame Gaius as he had been lying to her on the therapy he gave her since she was a child; she just needed honesty

i don't think merlin should take full blame for what morgana had become. even tho he should've told her about his magic, i dont think its fair to criticise him for not. he has to think about his own life and telling morgana would have put him in danger. if uther wasn't so hateful and morgause wasn't so manipulative, i think morgana would've done well with the druids. and maybe one day when arthur had become king, merlin would've felt safe to tell her. i so wish things played out differently for them both

I have proof that Merlin DID IN FACT liked Morgana, even just a little bit... And I can prove it, with science! (Totally not sorcoury) So... I'm basing it all in the scene where Merlin was about to give flowers to Morgana, Arthur shows up, and he tries to hide it, why? Maybe Arthur would ask questions, yes, but Merlin can simply answer them by saying "it's for comforting Morgana" or something like that.... But no, he hides it, why? You don't just hide something because you don't have time to answer simple questions like "what's that for?", He's hidden it because his mind told him to, because he knew he would be lying if he said "it's JUST for comforting Morgana", if it was he would've been proud with showing them to anyone since it's JUST for comforting her..... Yet, he didn't.... because he had another reason..... I'm sure you can guess what it is

It bugs me how so many people still blame Merlin for Morgana going evil. Ffs, she made her own choices and decisions, as did they all. Morgana's murderous rampage of innocents was all about her, not magic or magic users. It was about vengeance, not anything just or rightful. I LOVE Morgana as character/villain, but anyone that says differently is kidding themselves. The enormous enjoyment and pleasure she took in hurting so many (magic users included) removed any right she had to handfuls of earth or anything else. A terrorist is exactly what Morgana was. Merlin finally granted her peace by removing her from this world. She made her bed; now she's laying in it.
