I will add this...............Just bought and have used the Moab WP and it is the most comfortable mid high boot I have ever worn. I have hiked and backpacked a lot over the last 25 years. I have I owned and backpacked in many top brands and this is the first ever boot that is comfortable on downhills and absolutely no hot spots or blisters on multi day pack trips. its to my understanding that they dont last as long as your more heavy duty boots. however, for the price i will purchase them as needed.

I just bought a pair yesterday. Very true to size. Being out in the desert, these perform really well in the high heat, if compared directly with my Royer 8490 & Red Wing Tradesman. However, I will say the is just a little too much space in the arch for my taste. But well worth the 30% off I got them for, ($93 with taxes). I am looking forward to breaking them in more and Tully experiencing how comfy these can be.

Wore these out over the winter, the soft toe. The mesh by the side of the toes gets mushy and let's water in. Really comfortable, not very durable.

I tired on four pairs of merrels at cabelas in January. did not like the arch support-where it ended under the foot and the ball of foot support. Also they were not flexible at at all. I ended up trying on one pair of keen koven mid hikers (not work boots) and fell in love. When I first tried them on it have me spring in my step that the merrel did not. I where my keen koven for 10 hour days on an active robotics floor. And Ima be honest my feet are sore at the end of the day but not like where little runners.

Just bought a low cut 2.0 pair 89$ CND at Costco. I work on the ramp at an airport in eastern Canada so these are for the summer. Hoping to get two seasons out of these. I keep 5 pairs of work boots in my locker for different weather conditions and these are going to fill the role of warmer weather boots. I’ll update after my first summer with them.

@@0zone247 they’ve got a little life left in them. They sit in my basement and throw them on for helping out friends on home projects. The only gripe is that a day on concrete they’re isn’t much cushion so if you’re mostly working in a warehouse, I’d say not good.

I am thinking about getting these boots. I wear a 14 wide. I am helping my buddy deliver for ups over the holiday season and live in Minnesota. There is about 1 inch of snow right now and not cold. I am thinking these boots would work great. I have the Columbia omni heats now and they are to tall and big . I also have the danner pronghorns which feel better but, also to hot. what are your thoughts?

Is there anything more like a tennis shoe but waterproof or resistant to rain and snow so kinda like a tennis shoe boot

I use the regular hiking moab 2 mid for construction. Nine days in the rubber toe cap busted. Company would not replace or fix them. That it the weakest spot on the boot. The first gen moab mid lasted me longer, with the synthetic leather toe cap. Looking for new work boots. Love the merrell fit, but that rubber toe cap needs to be gone.

Hi; thanks for the great review! If you have a minute I would like to ask your opinion. I am traveling to Tokyo in December of this year. Looking for a boot offering comfort for loads of walking, somewhat waterproof and with a appealing look for both urban and nature. Your opinion would be greatly valued.

Can these work boots still good to hiking or will it kill you on hiking?

I just found a pair online for $52 (not here yet) but if they fit and perform like their Moab Ventilator, I'll be a happy camper. It's been my main backpacking shoe for close to 10 years. *I know this is silly, what type (brand) of pants are you wearing?*

Do Merrell’s steel toes run big? I have several pairs of Merrell hikers that are all a WOMENS size 6. I just got a pair of these, but womens and they appear to be a size too large. There’s about an inch and a half in the toe and theyre too wide. I’m trying to figure out if the steel toes indeed do run larger than other Merrells. Any input you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Vented AND waterproof?
@hoots026 жыл бұрын
For me the moab 2 vent. No toe is what ive being wearing for 10 year straight, they just work for my legs (bad injury) saw the same in the work boot today bought them but im worried that they wont keep my feet dry in my workplace has there are to many vents! I wish they would make these exact boot/hiking shoe with no vents for real waterproof protection. Tomorrow is my 1st day trying them out.

HOOTS C how are you likeing them?

Rayray12 so here is my review on the new moab 2 work. Put them to use at work and it rained while at worked and of course with all the vents I got soaked, second even though I bought a wide shoe the steel toe is smaller cramming my toes in there making it uncomfortable standing on them all day long I had blisters, and I tried them for 6 weeks to break them in still got the same results. Was so looking fwd to wearing these has i wear the hiking shoe all the time. Now they sit there in the corner

I thought they did make some like that? The regular MOAB 2 Mid’s I have are supposed to be waterproof. They also don’t have vents as far as I can tell. They aren’t the “work” or “vent” model and don’t have a steel toe either, they’re as comfortable, if not more so, as any shoe I’ve tried so far. I can’t speak to the durability/longevity yet as I haven’t had them very long. These and the Alverstones I bought at the same time are both my first pair of Merrells.

According to Merrel, or a very rude representative, these are NOT work safety rated boots, and they are pure hikers. They actually dont list them in the website :O (as of today 21st oct 20202),. In anycase, thanks for the review is the only video out there with useful information on thes pair.

TAC n TEC I love merrell, I’ve always wanted to work in keens because I believe them to be heavier duty. Keens fit wider though, merrell are more of a narrow fit

Merrel boots you forget to mention they use cheap glue on the solo and they fall apart after few months and there customer service after 20 emails say ok we send you a new pair but you wait and wait and wait 18 months and still no replacement ..
@tristanj92455 жыл бұрын
My sole fell off after 3 weeks. Their quality contril is terrible. I also have a black pair that part of the sole came off after 2 months of wearing them. It's sad because they are great for hot weather climates. They just will not hold up.

I've owned 6 or 7 pairs over the years. The only problems I've had is the sole wearing down which will happen with all shoes, and laces breaking which can happen to any brand. I've had more problems with boots that are more expensive than these shoes.
