Just bought a pair 10 minutes ago. Now I'm watching your video. I have had a ton of Merrells and have never had one of the eyelets break.

I just got a pair of Merrell Comp Toe boots a couple days ago, just as comfortable as my old Merrell Moab that I have had a few pairs of in the past. My feet are really wide (I need to stretch out 5E shoes), If you need a safety toe boot in a wide size, these are great. I can't think of any other work boots that are this light weight. I haven't had any of the eyelets break in the past.

These Moab Vertex Mid Waterproof Comp Toe Work Boots are comfortable for work boots....but not nearly as comfortable as the Moab GoreTex hiking boot. I've gone hiking with these work boot. They did okay...I had some blisters. The actual hiking version works much better...no blister. I think the comp toe doesn't allow the boot hug the foot as much leaving more room for the foot to slide around creating more hot spot which cause blisters. O...well...use the boots for there intended purpose. By the way...yes I have had the eyelets fail. This happened on the hiking boot version. Maybe the work boot version is tougher...we'll see.

Just bought them today replacing my old pair of Merrells I bought in 2002 (which had metal eyelet’s). Great review.

Favorite pair of boots. Durable and comfortable especially if you're flatfoot like me. Merrell for life, underrated shoe Imo.

I've been wearing Merrells forever and never had one of the eyelets break. My dad has been through probably 20 or more pairs roofing over the years and never had it happen. I wouldn't worry about them.

I've been wearing these since November. I recently got a second pair (non-safety toe). Very comfortable boot, size is very close, I had to wear a second pair of socks to get a good fit. I deliver bottled water, so I'm carrying 2 bottles or pushing 4 or 12 bottles on a cart, walking 4-8 miles a day depending on my route. Wear on the sole had begun but is not terrible. Still have plenty of sole left, I'll wear these when required by customer/route or if I'm working in the warehouse where safety toes are required. My new pair has Vibram soles on them instead of the M Select, but has the exact same tread/lug pattern.

I too am a water man and am looking into getting these. Went from Redwings to Thorogoods to Underarmour and then finally to Danner boots. The Danner boots have been the best boot I've owned to date. Perfect for my route and hiking. Waterproof, composite toe, vibram bottom, lightweight and perfect. Definitely going to give these a go!

@@GrandmasBoii I used to wear RW but they are just too expensive to only get 6-8 months of wear out of the same soles (Vibram). You work for RR ? Same here, after they bought my old company out 2 years ago.

Yeah Los Angeles branch. Started in the warehouse and got promoted to route six months ago. Good company, but have you heard the news? Being sold again.
@CSXGP384 жыл бұрын
@@GrandmasBoii yeah, it is what it is. Not really worried at this point. Nothing we're going to do about it. I don't expect much to change, except hopefully someone does something about better routing solutions :D I'm in Gettysburg.

You should really try the norwegian shoe brand called Alfa. They have lots of good looking quality boots made for hiking and hunting. The alfa jerv and alfa bever are my favorites.

Hi @bootguy , Any boot recommendations for a concrete construction worker. I work up to ten hours and the terrain is almost always uneven(because dirt and stuff lol). So I’m looking for something that is both agile and comfortable if that’s even available, or at least comfortable. Thanks in advance

Hey what's different from these versus last year model? Mr Boot guy
@ws86725 жыл бұрын
leon black I sell work boots. The difference between this MOAB vertex and the MOAB is the changes of the insole and arch. The old MOAB has an incredibly high arch and the new one was lowered and they made a much more comfortable insole to walk on. 👍🏻

While I love the Merrill hiking boots these are just bad. They are not made for walking. I had them less them a year and the comfort base midsole collapsed. I walk 5 to 8 miles a day at work. They still look brand new and they are going in the garbage now.

Maybe for American summers. Don't think I could wear a padded thick boot like that in summer. Would get trench rot lol
