Merry Christmas! 2022 Special

I take my little red Jeep and enter it in a parade. Of course, its not ready to go, so I have to fix a few things first. Along the way this Willys CJ-2A gets better, and we also do some Christmas tree hunting with it. We drive through the snow in the Lincoln National Forest to collect our trophy tree. Eventually my family makes it to Cloudcroft, NM (elevation almost 9000 feet). Even though the Go-Devil 4 cylinder still has 10 cracks in the engine block and is held together with glue, it purrs right along the whole way. We had a great time, and I hope you enjoy coming along for a bit of the ride!

My wife and I have been to Cloudcroft and it is a neat little mountain town. I like your homemade Christmas tree holder. Reminds me of the one my dad used when I was little. He would take a galvanized metal bucket, and put the butt of the tree in the bucket. Then he would place large rocks around the tree trunk, jamming then in as tight as he could to hold the tree straight. Then add water, and there was the Christmas tree holder. And it worked!

Smart idea to install an ignition switch not to mention a seat for your wife. You will find out the inverter and USB ports will come in handy. Cloudcroft was always a favorite stop for artesian water traveling to Alamogordo in the sixties from Odessa. In the late seventies it had a forest fire that burned out the area. Hopefully that has fully grown back. Merry Christmas.

Definitely a charley brown tree but its suiting of this channel and it made the kids happy. Anything that you do to one of those rigs is a improvement. I gained a definitely bad taste for them in the army as walking beat being bouncing around inside of them. Only a driver could enjoy the ride as he had the wheel to hang onto and that is a way big difference. Every guy in the whole area around me wanted one with the small block chev V8's and that proved real hard to find a engine after a while. Got where I could have one roll into the shop and two days later its running out the door with the said engine. I just started making those adapter plates for the engine to transmission plates which the rest was dumb simple. As long as you didn't do a lot of horsepower, they actually did do pretty good in the mud or snow.
