0:28 for me it’s really obvious. We know from the World War I video that HE is immortal. So just like in a video game after he gets killed he respawns. HE could have been killed after being convicted for the warcrimes as the humans felt that he was too dangerous to be let alive (considering his god like powers). After HE was executed he simply respawned in Lithuania (thereby having multiple birth places) so he could work on the collapse of the Soviet Union.
