This is more than an unfortunate situation, it is bordering on malpractice. The ADA really needs to get its act together. But then, using diet to treat T1 diabetes doesn’t make money.

It is a sad reality that seeking help from your doctor is a lost cause for many patients "Consult your medical advisor first" doesn't help when you have no idea where to find one that will support you. Online groups seem to be the way to go.

Online forums can be very helpful to learn from others experiences. If you are looking for an experienced provider, maybe one of these directories will help. www.diagnosisdiet.com/directory thesmhp.org/directory/ www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/doctors nutrition-network.org/find-a-practitioner/

@@metabolicmind Thanks, I will check it out. But it doesn't seem to give many results for Thailand where I live, which is my point.

Hello! I recently heard that even if your ketone levels are relatively high, if your blood sugar is above 85 mg/dL (4.7 mmol/L), you're not actually in ketosis because there's enough sugar in the blood for the body to use instead. What’s your opinion on this? Whether it's true or not, what would be a target blood sugar level while in ketosis?
@metabolicmind9 күн бұрын
We haven't heard that and don't believe it to be true. As long as your body is making ketones, you are in ketosis and you body is burning fat for fuel (assuming you aren't taking exogenous ketone). Glucose can vary from 60s to 130s and someone can still be in ketosis. Being in ketosis has more to do with insulin levels than glucose levels.

Why are insulin levels to high if you are a type 1?
@metabolicmind8 күн бұрын
Not sure exactly what you're referring to, but I assume it has to do with administering exogenous insulin and requiring more insulin on a high carb diet, compared to requiring much less insulin on a low carb diet.

Why are there not delicious recipes that people rate the highest , with tips like using freezer. WIll help with successpercentages. Its a lot of work: monitoring ketones/glucose/carbs/calories/ carnetine/salts and making meals and making it delicious. Lets make it as easy possible. Who wants to make a free course? Do I have to do this? If I do it , its a vegan version... Need a verry little budget. I'll make it wit AI.
