The preview on Steam is as lifeless as it can get... The narrator says literally what every MMO is supposed to do "Explore vast new worlds, defeat monsters, use ranged attacks, then use melee attacks, level up and gain new abilities..." like WTF. Finally someone who's reviewing the latest version of this game objectively. Thank you! MMO's are so rare, people should try it for themselves especially since it's free, it deserves a chance. It's growing back in Korea, population doubled recently even though the game was made for the west; P2W is same as the WoW token lol, no ingame power shop just cosmetics. The devs are working nonstop based on the community's feedback, the game changed fully since the launch last year. It would've got A+ reviews if it was in this state, best MMO out there with a lot of potential.

Yes solo PVP group PvP siege PvP and open world PVP. Yes it has a cash shop. I've played the Korean version and it doesn't lag out. I will be playing on PS5 console so we'll see how it runs on that. I can't remember the other questions that you asked but the game is good.

The open Beta played incredibly well on my 7 year old PC. Was a high-end PC when I bought it, but haven't upgraded it at all in 7 years and this game ran great. It's built on Unreal 5 engine and networking code seems solid. This is going to be a good one!

Lmao I love the whole "game killer" mentality. WOW has existed for decades and has a dedicated playerbase. The dedicated players aren't going to throw their whole life away for a new game just cause it might be a cooler version of what it could be. Especially not a mess that's going to be from NCSOFT. I'm calling it now, Paid Cosmetics and battle-passes incoming with the coolest looking armor and or some sort of paid membership like Blade and Soul used to do which gave you benefits to everything essentially making it Pay 2 Win. This game is just gonna be another TERA, or New World, or Riders of Icarus, big game with big ambitions but no substance and a cash shop. i will definitely be playing this, as a WoW vet since BC dropped who gave up the mantle for pandaria, Legion, WoD, and most of BFA i came back for the last 5-6 months of BFA, and played shadowlands for like a month or two. maxed out like 6 toons and just felt so empty. i did everything solo no guild in shadowlands and BFA, i didnt need one and raiding was just out of the question when GDKP became popular. ive wanted so badly to come back to WoW and havent done it because i know ill just be left feeling empty in just a day or two as everyone on that game seems to be really toxic or unsociable. they are all so jaded from years of grinding pointless WoW content. classic TBC was amazing for a good amount of time at its launch everyone was having fun like back in the day, i even got my old PC out from highschool that my mom had and used it to play TBC classic legit like the old days, low graphic settings because that PC couldnt handle anymore, no addons as it would freeze the game, and an old fat monitor with a IBM keyboard. everyone was on discord having a great time for a while reliving their teenage years in BC classic. then it just phased out for WOTLK, which didnt hit as hard and i never even leveled through it, i got to 72 and quit because i missed TBC, they should of kept TBC classic servers up.

As a f2p casual player i can say this game is not for me or others casual players , in wow or gw2 after buying expansion and pay sub in wow case -- i can play 2 hours a day ,in weekend a bit more maybe without spending more money (p2w) and finally 2 months later i can say i am in the same spot with others who spend money or play a lot , but in this game after playing on Korea Servers for a casual player doesn't have a chance . Yea true players said all mmorpg is p2w but this one is way to much same as Lost ARK and now is almost dead this will share the same future. If you have time 4-6 H a day is fine you can play f2p maybe a bit of swipe sometimes or SWIPE Easy Game minimum 700 Dollars until next content and repeat. This is my Opinion .

Making fun of WoW for its solo focused content lately is shortsighted. Ammount of people who have energy and importantly free time to participate in group content is shrinking daily. Young people have too short attention span for older kind of MMO and older players lack time (this is obviously generalization, but it will dictate the trend). There is reason Blizz do this transition... I would be very surprised of Raids in WoW were not done primarily as Promotional tool lately, not for the actual players and % of players actually raiding in guilds. If TaL requires heavy party play, it will flop in short span of time on global scale (in West anyway).

The world is empty no matter how hard they try world quests are boring and world bosses are not what they use to be. They are pandering to the casual people who dont want to socialize and thats fine. The WoW community has died a long time ago as well. Now its min max to a T and if you are ilvl 600 vs 605 you get insta declined despite clearing it with your regular group later. They basically got forced into this SP rpg with coop model they use now. Please for the love of god dont come to games like T&L and others that are trying to bring back a real MMO game and ruin with your "low energy" bullshit. back when new world released, i was in a giant company/guild of about 200 players split into 4 companys. basicly the hated shell company problem the game has been plagued with for years. that said, whilst u say you might not get that cozy feel of a small guild feeling, much like in real society, you gonna find your nich of friends within the guild that u often talk to, and when u do activities you get placed with people you often dont know. this comment might be very obvious at first glance, but the concept of guilds with hundreds of players might feel daunting for new players, but there is no real need to worry

Did you bother to look at the "P2W" aspect of the game? Cause it's less P2W than WoW for example... yes, whales can buy power at the Auction House but at the same time they are buying it FROM YOU... therefore the whales are literally funding the F2P players that are active and really want to keep up with the latest gear score... think about this... whales don't wanna grind... they pay to skip all the grind, right? So, if that's true then they need to buy their power at the Auction House... but to buy that power someone needs to list the items... which is literally the F2P players whose whole guilds are already fully geared and they have no used for the items and they list them... then the whales buy those for insane amounts of lucent (premium currency) which the F2P players that listed them can use to buy every battle pass and also to buy power of their own in the later expansions/updates... This system is EXACTLY like Warframe where you sell your shit to other players for platinum and then use that platinum to buy all the Prime Warframes for free... it's EXACTLY that... if you actually actively play and you're a loyal player that truly loves the game then the whales will be literally funding you and helping you keep up with their power level and since most whales are actually dogshit players that need to P2W because they don't bother learning the game, you'll beat the ever living shit out of them probably... This is economics 101... the people that say it's super P2W and not worth your time are actually uneducated af... Oh and the Epic Tier 2 gear that will come with the first big update after release (a few months down the road) are not purchasable in Auction House but only through grinding dungeons... which means whales have to at least do that...

@@MetaGoblin My biggest gripe was with the whole Numenor arc, which I guess is the part most dislike. Contrary to many I like Galadriel's casting both in aesthetics and the skill of the actor - I just think she has been given some material difficult to produce great results with. I generally like the casting of: Durin, Arondir, Elrond(yes, he grew on me), the "Istar", Elendil(yes I know everyone likes him), Theo and Halbrand. Celebrimbor didn't really work for me and the rest of the characters weren't super memorable.

its published by ncsoft and amazon, not much hope for the game, they literally kill all their mmos with p2w and bad decisions. Gonna be a fun couple months to a year till it turns to shit. TL aint even successful in Korea and that's saying something.

Not being successful in Koreai is exactly what you want. Meaning it's not P2W enough. Goddamn WoW was not popular in KR either, remember? Koreans have a very different view on how online games should work, and TL just falls out of that spectrum. They would flex IRL with their P2W swiped characters at work and having such character is generally accpted and even respected in a way. In NA and EU you do this by having an expensive car. So, an MMO failing in KR is actually something you want to see if you're against P2W shitstorm.

That’s a terrible take. You never want your game to fail in a country that actually created the competitive gaming market such as Esports. Korea and Japan are the world’s biggest gaming market. If you fail in these locations your game will eventually die if you don’t eventually get fans in these areas. In Korea and Japan, gaming is a great hobby that most people there loves and appreciates. In NA gaming is a niche hobby that most people look down upon, which causes less players and less free time for the ones who do play games.

China, US and Europe are both the largest demographics for WoW so get your facts straight... and I don't know wtf you talking about but the US has one of the largest esports league that dwarfs anything in Asia lol

pretty sure Korea prefers esports style games. US/CA and EU are biggest mmo markets. Time will tell I guess, p2w fails in the US so if ncsoft learned anything they'll keep it straight and do their own thing.
