Vashjir is a fantastic zone that gets too much unjustified hate

I like it a lot too, but I think I'm the only one in my guild that does to be fair. The hate is so silly, because you're only swimming normal speed for the tiniest amount of time at the beginning, the other 99.9% of the zone you have fast swim speed and a mount to get around, so it's no worse than any other standard zone at that point

Back in the days, a lot of folks had crappy PC with bad gfx cards. So they had bad experience during questing there.

I had no issue leveling in wotlk, layering was so good.

If you want to grind you should do archeology, while you may not get the item you wish, you can still use any other 359 epic you may get to boost your ilvl to at least get into heroics earlier. Also you can save up 4000 jp and honor (afaik). Which should also provide some ilvl boosting items. Then you have profession items as well. Combine this with quest rewards and you should be find it relatively easy to get 329 ilvl for heroics, even if you don't get lucky through archeology.

You can still do heroic walk-ins with guildies or trade channel groups even when you're freshly dinged, right? You only need 329 ilevel to QUEUE for heroics. Definitely an important distinction

All these tips were for people who can't spend few thousand gold on 339pvp and 333 pve pieces from the AH and que heroics instantly. What I would consider a mistake is not having the friendly reputation and buying the tabard for each faction (based on pre-raid bis).

As a Feral Tank it is definitely a mistake to not complete quests in Vashj'ir and Deepholm.

@@qorda1337 To get as much rep with the Earthen Ring as possible. I know there is a Tabard, but preferably you want to use it first on Therazane, as you only get so much rep with questing. From ER we need the head enchant and there is a 359 Ring at exalted and a 346 Cloak at Revered.

This might be a hard concept for you to understand but not every world of Warcraft guide video is tailored to your best interests.
