At first I wondered why The Boss and Gray Fox were included in this. Yes, they're good characters, but they aren't protagonists. Then I realized...It's a lineage. The Boss trained and inspired Big Boss, Big Boss trained and inspired Gray Fox, Gray Fox and Big Boss trained and inspired Solid Snake, and then Solid mentored and inspired Raiden. It's really inspirational, when you think about it. A tradition of fighting, but fighting for what you believe in. Not whoring yourself out to some government, but instead fighting for what's right.

Or because it's about legendary characters in the Metal Gear series. The Boss, Big Boss and Solid Snake are self explanatory. Raiden endures alot on his first practical mission and becomes a badass cyborg. Gray Fox has been used and abused by the world at every turn, from his time in the Perfect Soldier project to his cybernetic enhancements by Dr Clarke (Paramedic). Big Boss isn't even a good guy in the end. They aren't all good or bad. But all are legend- *wait-for-it* dary. LEGENDARY!

I personally believe that Hideo Kojima is a master at character development because I truly care what happens to these fictional characters. Metal Gear Solid, Snake Eater and Guns of the Patriots are profoundly my favorites. I would like to see Metal Gear game based on the Boss.

I've always wanted a game that focuses on Snake's playthrough at Big Shell, since he conquers the other half of the game essentially while you're Raiden does his half. His boss fights could include one with ocelot, his part in the harrier, one with olga/gray fox, another random one, one with fortune at the end of the game, and then liquid while falling or something as the final

This is pretty accurate, because a Legend should be what they have accomplished combined with their character back-stories. While not explored equally, all 5 of these characters probably had the most tragic stories and biggest accomplishments.

I understand how Fox is a "legend", he does play quite a big role in the story despite him being on-screen momentarily. If Fox didn't cut off Ocelot's hand we wouldn't have this Liquid Ocelot thing. Also the fact that Fox is Snake's mentor.

I got chills watching this. As a fan of this series for 10+ years, I couldn't help but smile at this wonderful tribute to a magnificent series. I could probably go on and on about both this video and this series itself, but I'll spare you and anyone else who reads this from a wall of text. You should be proud of yourself. I believe this was an excellent albeit short, summary of these games and these key characters. My only critique aside from how short the video was, would be that you included MGSV trailer footage but I did not see any Revengeance in there. But since the series has mostly focused on Snake and Big Boss, it's alright. I also enjoyed not only seeing how Fox was given a good tribute here, but how you tied everything together. Well done, comrade. *salutes*

The tile of Boss was inherited according to each theme of each saga by protagnists SCENE: The times and circumstances made the Boss die by her disciples hands and he became Big Boss Genes: The sons of Big Boss fought to inherit the title and legacy that was genetically encoded into them (ironically the one son who didn't want any of it inherited it). Memes: Raiden was shaped to fight and think like Solid Snake and became his mental and ideological successor.

I kind of wish people used Tiger Stripe camo more for Naked Snake. Tiger Stripe is what camouflage Snake was using with his his legs when equipped with the Naked Uniform. But I find that its use in conjunction with The Boss's bandanna with No Paint on the face made him seem so different than he was during the Virtuous Mission, like he reached a turning point in his life thanks to The Boss's defection. This then brings me to a question I want to ask Kojima in the future (or if someone else can, then that would be great!): What kind of emotion does Big Boss carry into battle after Operation Snake Eater? He has mostly been using Tiger Stripe camouflage throughout his years (it makes an appearance once again in The Phantom Pain) but we just need the emotion, and we'll settle on a new nickname for him!

This video followed 5 people with one thing in common: They all know the same techniques: The Boss was taught by one who came before her, she passed her knowledge onto John (Big Boss) who then found Frank Jaeger (Gray Fox), and acted as a sort of mentor to Solid Snake in MG, who then acted as a sort of mentor to Raiden in MGS2. All Ocelot knew was from the Philosophers, and only got a little advice from Big Boss. Also Ocelot always had bad intentions except for kinda MGS3 and maybe 5.

***** Mainly because of the technique things. And I did acknowledge Ocelot helping Snake in 3 and 5. Also, Ocelot isn't qualified to even be considered a snake (raiden and GF kinda can). BB never mentored Ocelot. Ocelot got all that from the philosophers. Raiden was kinda mentored by Solid, who was kinda mentored by Big Boss in Metal Gear, who was trained by the Boss.

***** Being the best lieutenant would assume that since BB is his commanding officer, he would've at least trained with him, and being a part of Big bosses military group, would also make him at least train with him. At DD, Ocelot only served to train the soldiers presumably alongside Big Boss, but that doesn't mean he uses or knows the same stance, techniques, etc. And Raiden is a product of Solidus, guided by Solid Snake to kill the former, and taught a few things. Raiden looked p to Snake as a father figure and a mentor, and Ocelot only looked up to Big Boss in normal admiration.

I have played every MGS game, with the exception of Peace Walker, definitely enjoyed MGS 2 ! However, MGS 3 takes the 1st place in my heart, and MGS 1 gets second place . MGS is a work of art
