MGS is my all time favorite game series. The 2nd one is absolutely amazing as it predicted the world we live in today. Those who haven't touched this series, I strongly encourage you to do so as you'll find the reason why this Series is coveted by the gamers of the late 90's to the early 2000s.

I SEEN gameplay footage, the stealth is utterly broken, cheap and difficult enemies are everywhere (some can spawn in front of you and alert others) and you have to shuffle key cards and hope it is the one to open one specific door without any indication of which key card can or cannot open it. Finally, the developers couldn’t make up their minds on what the story is about, because the back of the game box tells a different story than the one in the game. It isn’t even about Snake getting revenge for anything!

This collection is everything a new fan of Metal Gear Solid (especially those gained whit Rising). So if you are new to the franchise i absolutly recommend playing it. The story in each installment is different from the one before. The only thing as an old fan i wanna let you know is that MGS3 is a prequel, and also ladders

Why does everyone want to watch someone they hate? Yeah it can be funny to watch how he acts but the novelty wears off fast. And then he continues to be relevant and then people continue to complain about him and the cycle continues. A loop I'm glad to stay out of.

@@mr.awesome6011 To be fair, I never really hated DSP moreso I viewed his content as a "so bad it's good" pleasure for lack of a better phrase. He's made plenty of baffling decisions with little regard towards their consequences, and repeatedly acted oblivious to the hate he cultivated all on his own. But I'd be remiss to say that he wasn't justified in some of the things he did just like a broken clock that's right twice a day. Looking back, I feel that had he capitalized on his comedic fails a lot more than defending them as they were his family, he would've been well off enough to leave a legacy for his family, and all that hate would've faded away. Now it's sad to see that his story resembles that cycle of hatred.

Was not ever expecting at all that we would ever see a port of the Metal Gear games after Hideo Kojima left Konami, freaking awesome... can't wait for later on Volume 2 which I am sure will have MGS4/5 and The Twin Snakes. edit- I forgot about the PSP games and there is also Rising, I guess we will have to see how they will surprise us for Vol.2 - My own opinion they will include games which will make people want to buy it so expect the unexpected.

I'll be glad to be able to play those games on Switch. And even if Konami will probably not port MGS4 and 5 on Switch (for a lot of reasons more or less obvious), it's not like if the choices for volume 2 were lacking. We have: -The Twin Snake remake (depends if Diac and/or other former Sillicon Knights staff is on board to accept the port to be done... I don't really know how the rights on this game is divided tbh) -The Acid games -Ghost Babel -Portable Ops and Peace Walker

Some other great video games that I would also really love to see next hopefully for the Nintendo Switch that I think should be released for the Switch in my own opinion (updated version as of 10/12/2023): 1. HD remasters of both "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker" and "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" which have already been released for the Wii U console 2. An HD port, or an HD remaster rather, of "Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes" next which was originally released for Nintendo GameCube back in 2004 which also happens to be a remake of "Metal Gear Solid" a.k.a. MGS1 originally released for the original PlayStation (PS1) console back in 1998 3. A Switch port of the new and upcoming MGS3 remake, "Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater," in the Metal Gear series which will eventually be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Microsoft Windows) sometime 4. A Switch port of the HD edition, or HD remaster rather, of "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of "Metal Gear Solid HD Collection" 5. A new Madden NFL game for the system in the Madden NFL series since there are no Madden games yet for the Switch 6. A new Call of Duty game or something next for Nintendo Switch if possible 7. A Switch port of "Grand Theft Auto V" a.k.a. GTA V 8. A Switch port of the Crash Bandicoot online multiplayer party video game "Crash Team Rumble" which was just released back in June for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S 9. A Switch port of the 2023 remake of "Resident Evil 4" which was just released earlier this year back in March for the PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles including for PC (Microsoft Windows) along with the newly and recently released "Separate Ways" DLC 10. A new and upcoming Mario & Sonic Olympic Games video game entry next in the Mario & Sonic series based on the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics which will occur next year in the summer of 2024 in Paris, France, and it should be titled either as "Mario & Sonic at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games" or "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Paris 2024" perhaps 11. A Switch version or port of the puzzle game "Deliver Us the Moon" even though it was cancelled for the Switch a few years back apparently 12. A Switch port of "Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed" which was just released last year in 2022 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles including for PC (Microsoft Windows) and there was also a single-player only version of the game that was just released back in June for both PS4 and Xbox One and is also a remake of the original "Destroy All Humans! 2" game which was originally released back in 2006 for both PS2 and original Xbox 13. A Nintendo Switch port of "Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon" which was originally released 30 years ago back in 1993 for Philips CD-i (Even though the games both received negative reviews and all from what I've heard, I personally still think that they both should deserve a spot though on the Nintendo Switch perhaps, especially considering the Internet memes that are associated with them too.) 14. A set of legacy games from the Nintendo GameCube, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS video game consoles next (and maybe even some games from the Wii U game console as well even though some or most Wii U games, such as "Mario Kart 8," "Super Mario 3D World," and "Pikmin 3," have all been ported over to the Nintendo Switch already) as part of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Legacy Games Service That's just my own opinion though of some of the games that probably should come to the Nintendo Switch next perhaps in my opinion and it would be really awesome if all of those games ever come to Nintendo Switch next sometime as well, if possible.

I'm both a huge Nintendo fan and a huge Metal Gear fan. This game is AWESOME for me! I think everyone should play Metal Gear Solid 1. With its game mechanics, gameplay, story and countless details, its very good game. Also MGS2 and MGS3 is very very amazing.

The first MGS proved games could be like movies, even with blocky graphics. Kojima has always been a visionary. He chose games as a medium, because movies couldn't let him express his full vision. He was always ahead of his time! Now people like J.J. Abrams and George Miller praise him. We've been doing so for 25 years!

Imagine this. a 7 years old kid in 1990 watching a 17 years old playing Metal Gear on MSX Sakhr ( the Arabic release of MSX ). I am glad i had this game in the arcade station near my home in Egypt.

Me too even tough I never played any MGS games and I know Snake from Smash and his music banger (but still, I want to play those classics) I know its the remake of the first one, and also was on the Gamecube. I wanted to start from the first one and this version but cost like 200-500$... Anyway maybe its in the pack 1 as an alternative version of the original, I think it fit really well with the others 2 for the graphics and looks. I have nothing against the original but the PS1 graphics and render just looks awfull, compared by exemple Resident Evil 2 on N64 wich more smoother and cleaner VS his PS1 counterpart. I mean I have the RE1 Remake on Gamecube and love it but not the true original, but if it release I'l try it out as well just because I'm a fan and can be funny to see the difference. So, I'm still good with the original MGS, but I will surelly want to play its remake also. At the end, I'm just happy to finally experience METAL GEAR SOLID!!! (and having the whole soundtrack is also very nice, I love it)

SNAKE'S REVENGE. Finally! It may not be a "true" metal gear, but the soundtrack is amazing. With the lack of re-releases it was only enthusiasts with original hardware or forbidden methods that got to experience it.

big fan of Kojima, but I'm doubting that Konami is paying him fair royalties for this shameful cash-grab of a download game. - To be fair to the fans, they ought to release an updated version with visual upgrades (higher fps) and all games actually on the cart... Paying full retail price for a physical copy of this game collection, I feel cheated.

No twin snakes? Thats odd taking into consideration nintendo holds the rights of that remake. Thats the reason why it was not included in the legendary collection on the ps3

@@smugcat723 it was a deal between konami, sony and nintendo but nintendo holds the distribution rights for twin snakes. If you go to the ps store you will only find the ps1 port. In fact you cant get twin snakes anywere else other than emulation.

I had Snake’s Revenge as a kid. Could never get passed the first boss. They came at you in a formation and had no idea what I was supposed to do and being before the internet I never solved it. Drove me crazy.

I'm still really looking forward towards picking up this collection set next since I want to get this for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch, and the release date is almost here already too! I've also heard that there's apparently going to be a PS4 version of "Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1" as well although the PS4 version is just going to be digital-only from what I've heard and as a result, I might not consider getting the PS4 version of this since I actually want the physical copy of the compilation collection set for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch being that the PS5 and Switch versions will have physical copies available and I still like and prefer collecting physical video games so far.

@@bamban_garcia5562 I actually have heard about that, but I'm more of a physical video game collector and all when it comes to picking up video games since I still prefer physical copies of games, so I was still planning on getting the physical copy of this collection for the Switch anyway even though I'll just have to download all of the other content to play as you mentioned.

Is there a rewind option where if an enemy spotted me i can just rewind it instead of reloading the game? that is the usual standard of collections nowadays and its really helpful. we finished this multiple times so having a convenient feature won't hurt.
