Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared, but she could all sing songs from cartoons. A doctor recommended singing lessons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started … Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D6) and her voice sometimes has polyphonic overtones. In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to KZbin and soon she had millions of fans. She is our shaman princess or goosebump queen. The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship. Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers. 2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier than it is 'normal'. That alone shows how smart and hardworking she is. She applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts. Yes, Diana often does the "impossible" This was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You are Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. She is a natural dramatic contralto (VERY deep!) which is rare in females but exceptionally rare in someone so young! Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Primorsky Territory, northeast of Vladivostok. I still wonder how Diana is not WAY WAY bigger than she is.. I heard this video over a year ago.. she was only 15 when she did this. Not only her voice is by far the most amazing all around I've ever heard.. but her "production value" in terms of her movements, her eyes, etc.. I've heard a LOT of great singers.. but not one compares to her with her range, style and ability to really just suck you in listening to her. Why she isn't a mega star singer.. being put out on major shows, etc.. I dont know.

Diana performed in two Shows for disadvantaged children in 2018 and 2019 She did this Performance in 2019 at the age of 15 She won both Contests! She became famous nationwide because her Performances where posted to the Internet and she gains hundreds of millions views! "Can't help falling in Love" She did last year in a Show called "The Show Mask go on" She performed 9 weeks in a row against 8 other well known artists of Russia which where succesfull in other Competitions! Each of the participants had to performe in 8 different genres and have to judge each other! Diana won this Show Contest with excellence!

hi, i understand people dont want to read this but i think you might be right in the track "i cant help falling love" that there was a backup voice at one point in the song. i love diana and i know all her songs, but in "cnt help falling in love" i think theres a backup recording from her voice. its ok, i think, its a cool effect, nothing artists should be ashamed of, many great artists have their backup voice in the background. i dont understand why people dont want to believe this. i mean in Wicked game you can clearly hear some recorded vocals from Diana and nobody seem to care.

This was amongst her earliest competition performances. Shes 14 here and she first entered the show at 13 and won Various rounds ...she also came back if i understand for a winners round and won that.. She just kept producing these storming performances years ahead of her age. The shows musical arranger worked with all the contestants but Diana was the one who just had the ability to grasp what he was suggesting and deliver it like no one else... even when she seemed to be acting like a reserved and slightly disinterested teenager.. Give her the mike and call action and ....its instantly all there.. Its her control and dramatic power that mark her out as an artist to watch.. 🇬🇧🧙‍♂️

This is an older performance from "You are Super." It was apparently created to give underprivileged kids a chance to show their talent. Her more recent show, "The Show Mask Go On," is a show with more mature peers. I can't say enough about the show. If you get a chance, watch the full episodes. You'll see that she is competing against some amazing talent.

Yes!! In the first one you guys watched she’s 18 and in this one she’s 15. I think she’s def more mature in the most recent but tbh it’s probably more popular b/c it’s more recent and more ppl are discovering her. Check out one of her first performances, “Rechenka” meaning “river” in Russian, where she’s 14. And “Human” where she’s 15. These were across two different seasons of the same show. And she’s gone on to do more singing shows since then including the one where she’s singing “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. 😊❤️✌🏼

Maybe she represents the next step of human evolution or some kind of deformity physiologically that actually worked out to be a positive thing for her. That aside, the metaphisical energy that accompanies her voice connects with my soul in a healing way, i allways end up feeling better internally and externally. I stopped trying to figure her out because she is cunundrum . the judges but her on the spot after she was done with one of her peformances after she performed blizzard. They asked her to sing somthing because they didnt beleive or had a hard time thinking that was all her. So without a microphone or music she lets loose for the judges, she fucking sounds the same, AMAZING! she is an enigma. A very rare, unique, the only one of her kind ,beutifull enigma. Her music teachers didn't teach her anything but only trying to help her to see, what her soul allready had come with. Im at times reluctant to listen to one of her new vocal performances out of fear, because somewhere along the line she will have a bad one everyone does eventually ( normal) . but i give in to the torture of anticipation & the desire or the need to hear her again. So far there all have been what my soul craves from her greatness. There are words that have energy of hate, words that have energy of love and words of her's that have the energy to heal. There is no top five for me, only her.✌️

You are correct on the cant help falling in love song there is a backing track in that one part before the high notes come in. How ever she can also do the dual tones which is especially noticeable in wiked game in the last part of the song.

Yes. I think it’s Almost the same in “The Crow” when she said the song had a male backing vocals at the same time she does the higher vocalization. The use of backing vocals in some of this big stages presentations is not to be confused with her natural resonance and overtones.

She was on the Russian kids voice - She was NOT chosen and apparently it created quite an uproar - the three judges actually asked her to sing something else and gave her the UNACCEPTABLE reasoning that SHE was too talented that's why NONE chose her & that they were "confused." They actually started arguing among themselves after she leaves the stage. I think she was 13 if you find the video she's in a red jacket w black pants. Also there is a version of the entire audition that has English subtitles (few w subtitles BUT the words are nonsensical) In the complete version (abt 8min) they actually start arguing about NOT choosing her.

If you continue to explore Diana you really should look at Rechenka. It's Russian Folk and it's really her most amazing song. Blizzard, Human, Oh It's Not Yet Evening, Wave, Take On Me, Crow and Dernière Danse can be found on her official KZbin site (many more but that's a nice set of songs). Great reaction! She was 15 when she sang Wicked Game. Another song to listen to: The song is Bopoha (Varona) - The Crow, and is from the same show she was participating in for Can't Help Falling In Love. It is in the category "Pop Hit". This performance was from a Russian show that aired last fall, and ran for 9 weeks. There were 9 singers who were also the judges and critiqued each other. There were 9 genres of music they had to perform over the course off the show. Thus Diana sang in many different styles. She is 18 in these performances. About the timeline between the 2 performances you've already watched .... "Can't help falling in love" come from a show running from september to november 2021 and where she was 18 years old. and "Wicked Game" come from the show "You Are Super" in 2019 and where she was 15 years old. That was the third season of the show and it was a "SuperSeason" where winners from preceding season were also invited. Diana was the winner from Season 2 of this show. This tv show is to help highlight artists who had a disadvantaged childhood. I highly recommand you to learn more about her from wikipedia and other available sources. Well if you are interested on the time line of her competitions, then at the ages of 14 and 15 she won 2 consecutive times the "You are super" competition which is a show where children who have spent some significant part of their childhood without parental care have a chance to showcase their talents. (The second time was like a super show where all the previous winners gathered together in order to vote for the best of all time). This one was in her early singing career. She won two back to back seasons of "You Are Super!", which is a show only for children who have spent a large part of their early life without parental care (orphans). Those two seasons gave her the exposure in the east. During the covid lockdowns people in the west started to find her. The Elvis cover you watched was from last year on a show that invited winners from various singing competitions who were already well known in Russia. They each sang a song from 9 different categories (Grammy, Rock hit, Pop Hit, Folk Song, Singer's Choice, etc). The Elvis cover was for the Grammy category. It was somewhat unique in that the 9 singers were also the 9 judges. They had to judge each other at the end of each episode, and they couldn't give the same score out more than once, so one person had to get a 1, and another a 2, etc. The daily winner would then sing an encore performance of the song to send off the episode each day. There was a cumulative total winner at the end of the 9 episodes. The elvis cover was from the first day and Diana was the last one up to sing. She blew everyone away, as the other singers didn't know her that well (she was the lesser known singer in the east). She got a few daily wins (singing encores) and then won the cumulative total at the end. They actually live streamed the airings on KZbin and there were a lot of people in Europe and the Americas (both North and Latin America) who were in the chat watching the premieres for Diana. Diana has her own career but is still in school at GITIS, which is like the Julliard school in America. She also likes to perform at a small lounge style venue called the Wood Grouse Nest Bard Club. This is a contest that I wish we had here in the US. It’s for disadvantaged children who have been orphaned or lived without parental care. Diana was severely abused as a child, abandoned at 2 years old at a bus stop with a broken collar bone, and taken to an orphanage. This is her second season on the show. She won the previous season at 14 years old and was invited back. There is a backing in a couple of places in this song. She said it was recorded into the accompaniment. Even so, her vocals are ridiculous. I’ve never heard anything like her. This was her second round for the winners. She was offered the services of a famous Russian producer but she declined because she is in a theatre academy, training with a vocal teacher and touring with concerts. She also recently released her first album. You should check out her “Rechenka” and “Crow”, “Twist in my sobriety” and “Not evening yet”, “Human” and many more. Her debut was with the “Dernière Danse”. le my personal opinion her performance “Rechenka” at 14 hasn’t been surpassed by any performer in the world ever. Diana, on her own KZbin page, has a version of her performance of Cant Help Falling in Love, where some of the affects and backing tracks applied were removed, it is just her straight microphone feed over the music. It does clear up what is her voice and what isnt. Most of what you hear is actually the delay with her harmonics, though there are some other tones in the original video....check it out

As for her Surname, her father is from Tajikistan, so the Surname has Arab roots from the name Ankuddin ( Like Alladdin) so the stress is on the third vowel: AnkuddInova

People often say that Diana has a backing track or other digital effects, but if you're listening to when she does almost karaoke style performances with very basic equipments, she manages to get the same effects just by using reverb and an eco.
