I would say Enter Sandman is probably their most main stream popular song. Mariano Rivera from the Yankees used it as his entrance to games.

If she likes instrumental songs that convey heavy feeling the One Metallica song that I would go to is called "to live is to die". That song is off the "And Justice for All" album

The symphony was so into this performance they literally took a break to change their clothes they were sweating through. And this performance, the audience was given free admission. You will see James mostly play an explorer body guitar, he does bust out the v for some songs. Dave Mustain is kinda the opposite. He mostly plays the v , yet for some songs he plays an explorer body guitar.

You quickly mentioned the conductor and there is some interesting facts about the great Michael Kamen. It was his idea to combine symphony and metallica while doing symphonic background for nothing else matters. Also some may think conducting looks fun and easy, Kamen wrote every single part for every single instrument for that one show and during rehersal knew when one note was out of tune.

For Whom the Bell Tolls is amazing from this album. Plays out a little like a battle between the band and orchestra.

Keep going on the concert for more Metallica w the orchestra Valborg definitely noted some of the highlights !!

This is a bit late but around this time is when auto tune was made. James used it in this album, that's why it sounds more clearer.

Guys, give us an instrumental reaction, "orion", "to live is to die", "the call of ktulu", "suicide and redemption" are the metallicas intrumental journey. If u aprecciate the greatnes of instruments.. u must check it.

As a fan from the early 80's when the Kill'em All album was first released, the answer to your question isn't a single answer, for it depends ... it depends on the era of Metallica which a person first experiences, for Metallica changed pretty dramatically in the Black album onward, and at this same time, they changed in fan base for their actions against the Napster community and more directly going after their own fans instead of leveraging changes in Corporate Music Industry. Their image became more greedy and commercialized which was far from their origins, and those who believe this, point to the music also becoming more commercialized monetary productions rather than the raw energy easily connected to metal. I am biased as I see them differently and see the Black album as being the beginning of the Metallica I don't want to promote, even though I admittedly find the song Fuel as an excellent track, there is just a reverence for those tracks that came off the first 4 albums before the greed bug bit them that puts those tracks far and above everything post-Black album. I can't imagine Cliff ever thinking of suing fans as being the strategy for fighting what essentially became corporate greed. Then there are those who don't find that shift in Metallica as being relevant, most likely finding songs off the Black album as the standard and source of the anthem.
@4md172 жыл бұрын
change in metallica music was relevant but i dont see it like sellout. i like black album and loads albums. its just not trash. my favorite is AJFA but sometimes i enyoi load and reload. im not always in a mood for wild headbengig.. i dont like death magnetic or HTSD because the production is bad and riffs are kinda... worn out.. i cant explain.. like they wore trying too hard for old sound and it just didnt happend imo.. it sounds artificially..

I know Hetfield has a guitar made from the wooden sections of the garage they used to rehearse in (ablum: "garage days" hightlights the songs and covers etc they used to play).. there's a story about it here on YT.. This may not be that same guitar but still an interesting tidbit..

@@jay32667 it´s not the same, he didn´t have "Carl" - which is what the garage wood guitar is called - until 2017/2018. This one has the same shape and was made by the same guy though (Ken Lawrence)
