@TeddyBearBonfire8 жыл бұрын
+William Schaffer Not *strictly* true. Distortion will mask some mistakes whilst emphasising others. In terms of note choice for example, a poorly chosen note will glare out much more prominently due to the emphasis distortion adds to dissonances, while it can often actually add some pleasant colour on the clean channel. It's also worth remembering that something which is designed to be played distorted not sounding good clean isn't simply a matter of mistakes (though it could be), but rather than it's simply not suitable for the clean channel. Some things simply don't work as well on one setup as the other.

Nope. Thats not art. Art is act of creating, they just played a cover. im not sayign they are bad or smth.
@toblexson50208 жыл бұрын
+Arthur Whatkenzylelkek The Oxford English dictionary defines art as: "The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination" or "A skill at doing a specified thing". As human creative skill is being expressed (not his but still being expressed) and he/they are clearly skilled in this activity, this is art. It could be argued that it isn't creative (although I believe that playing a multiple guitar piece on one guitar is).
@FunnelCakeRyan8 жыл бұрын
+Arthur Whatkenzylelkek That's an incorrect statement on several levels. for one thing, since this isn't a band recreating what Metallica did on their album note-for-note and instrument-for-instrument, that makes this an arrangement, which is clearly a creative endeavor. But even if it was that, it's still creative because a piece of music is recreated by its performer every time it's played. Otherwise, what's the point of live music? And would you really say that virtuoso violinists are not creating art when they play concertos because they didn't write them?

Maybe the reason you can't hear bass on "...And Justice For All" is because James and Kirk hired a bunch of hands to record the guitar parts and one of the hands stumbled on the volume for the bass track putting James and Kirk in an awkward situation by trying to explain to Jason why there's no sound coming from the bass track
@nicholascage44685 жыл бұрын
okbaez3 that's what exactly happened
@samueljorge31715 жыл бұрын
It was something with Lars and his drum sound, and somehow the mixing guy ended up having to turn Jason's bass down to like 2%

It's just how it was recorded.
@DLBBALL5 жыл бұрын
@@samueljorge3171 Which is just sad. AJFA would've been even more awesome. Turning up the bass in Audacity turns up Lars' damn drums up too, meaning there really is no way to get it so that ALL the instruments are at a good volume. Either the bass is too low and the drums are right, or the bass is right and the drums are too high.
@GameboyFanatic5 жыл бұрын

The top hand wasn't bad considering that they were probably staring at the back of the rhythm players shirt for most of the video xD

Like the solo. They probably had to change the way they play it since it's an 8 string instead of the traditional 6 string. Also they hat to make the low string a bass so technically it would be 7 strings. And you could understand 3 people in a small area for one guitar
@tylereckels38598 жыл бұрын
