Ive been playing guitar for maybe 7 years now and I literally gasped at some of these tricks- I literally feel stupid not realizing these small details that could’ve helped me for so long; thanks so much 🤩

I like the documentation of your journey. It might be fun to view later after we forget what we had worked on..

Another exercise with no explanation of benefits and how to use it in playing music

Hi man, sorry you didn't find it useful. The main benefit is, as mentioned in the video, more efficient playing.

@@Simenotnes I think efficient movements are really only needed for ultra-fast shredding. And there are much more details apart from just finger preparation, biggest challenges are hand sync and changing strings with right hand. The thing you played at the beginning (sounds great btw), you can play with mediocre technic, why would you care about finger preparation to play this

@@andrewharacidi Fair question. And thanks! I'll say this is concept is very overkill for beginner players. And there are many components of great technique for sure. So this is just one of the components. You can definitely play great things without this concept as well. Extremely few (even pro players) actually uses this to the degree I showed in the video. But it will allow for more efficient playing. The opposite of this efficient playing would be to for example play with super big movements with the fretting hand (instead of smaller movements). It would still be possible to play sick stuff, but it will require more effort. So is this concept a must? Absolutely not. Will it result in more effective playing? Absolutely! At least, it has been a game changer for me.
