The Metaverse is definitely here to stay. We can´t even grasp what will be possible in the near future. We´re building Casinos in diffferent Metaverses right now (Sandbox and Decentraland), purchased virtual land (worth over 300K USD) and have a team of builders designing a "Las-Vegas" Style Casino. I have had the pleasure of watching SVCC grow from day 1, and deliver on all their promises and more. There is an amazing weekly cadence involving building updates from the dev, an AMA, strong announcements, and fulfilment on all roadmap items pertaining to recent dates. They even added TWO more metaverses, free to us as utility, after their roadmap only called for one in Sandbox and Decentraland. Entry point at .33ish eth is still a no-brainer, tbh.

Great insight about this whole thing. I think that (fortunately or unfortunately) these virtual social interactions will replace real-life interaction soon, but not THAT soon. And I REALLY hope that Zuckerberg doesn't get the chance to be the guy in charge of this. As always, great vid buddy!

That's a good question. I thought about your live stream talking about struggling. By saying step it up I do not I have a better suggestions unfortunately 😔 Property written too fast. I only wanted it to be positive criticism. But I see you channel is maybe a bit all over the place witch is really great. But "to me" is hard to figure out and recognize you in the subscription feed. Now you are starting to do an examination on digital worlds witch is a really great idea. You are like a way cooler and smarter guy than me with similar interests. Do a whole series where the thumbnail is recognisable and have a visual connection to one another. It does not have to be some Mr. Beast like. You have a really cool style you can make it catchy. Maybe a suggestion could be a photo of you or another and then an avatar from the metaverse that looks like the person, side by side. It's the extension of social interaction. Maybe a able that goes from a real one to a virtual 3d one. Too long text 😅 Wish I could talk to you about it ok discord. You are a great KZbinr and want to succeed!

great overview Sam as always! the thing with "the metavers" is there's no such thing as a "the", there are many. I don't see any convergence on the horizon, the internet centralised over the last 2 decades and will continue to do so. And no, a distributed ledger of transactions is not a solution for that. these "metaverse" products are fundamentally MMO games with VR. they all run on different engines with different data formats and sync protocols. A single metaverse is going to require one of two things: standard specification with cooperation from companies or... monopoly. which one is more likely with the current FTC's approach to vertical merges? I'll let you work that one out...

The metaverse lets you go between games with your avatar. That doesn't exist, nor does the framework. Metaverse is interconnected so you could get in an argument in chat and settle it with a VR fight because you both have a boxing game. Chat could watch the fight and trash talk the looser. Meta is a new layer to what we have, not a replacement. We still have Email and still will with a metaverse.

i like the idea of metaverse but it shouldn't be treated as a replacement for reality, but rather some sort of extension to the Internet. it's not necessarily needed, but it can be used for extending reality. Maybe AR would be best described as an extension of reality since you are viewing digital information on top of the real world and that's almost metaverse enough without being inside another reality. Tbh I cannot imagine paying bills and taxes for a virtual world (GTA Online or Second Life would be the closest to that) but we'll just have to see where this would be heading in the next few decades.
