I’m 54.... thank you and your dad for figuring this out !!!! , and I am changing such wrong habits, but I’m so excited !!!!!Thank you so much!💕💕💕 i’ve been trying to figure out how my face got so long and flat.... and my nose got so big (( when I had such a small nose as a child.... when I was 6 ish I developed hearing breathing issues , then came the crooked teeth had extractions, braces etc.... since starting this exercise/way of being.... I sleep well now, not waking up because I can’t breathe while sleeping... this is so awesome 👏🏼 thank you so much ... and my face shape is changing for the better... much love ❤️ 💕❤️💗

Thank you so much for these videos! I've watched the swallowing training and the video in which you explain how the tongue shoud touch the soft palette and it's effect on a smaller airway. I've been doing myofunctional therapy for the last month due to a tongue tie release, but my tongue posture was just not it- i have a narrow palette, so when i fit the sides of my tongue in and close my mouth, the middle would hang down. Yesterday before going to bed I did the exercises you showed here and I woke up with the best tongue posture I've ever had. And the best part is I achieved it while sleeping. Thank you for putting such important information here on youtube and for a clear explanation. I wish you all the luck on trial, hope everything will change for the better

I was skeptical about Mewing,but despite the fact that I am overweight,whenever I mew my jaw gets more aesthetic,the initial and mid part especially,the muscles under the neck get "retracted" and it looks super cool,not only that but I can slightly see a lift in my midface too. I'll try to mew for some months,meanwhile I'll lose fat too and become fit;but I can certainly say that mewing is legit,I don't know if it can make your jaw to grow or give you a strong chin though,but it surely accentuates your jawline. And no,Mike hasn't paid me a penny,so I'm not a shill

I remember a few years ago I noticed I had a lot of forward head posture, so I started tucking in my chin and pushing my head and neck back, basically because I screwed up my neck to the point where I couldn't move it around. After a while I noticed my neck started to feel better, plus I didn't have the forward head anymore and had less of a hunch on my neck. I remember first doing it there was a lot of cracking noises going on. I'm happy now that I know it was the right thing to do. But I didn't know that tongue posture was the easy way to achieve this.

After starting mewing the past 4 days, i have been practicing this at least half the day and i feel a soreness as if the back of my throat is getting raw, or flush. I never thought about the way i swallowed before and feel like maybe i was partially correct beforehand. Also when i swallow i feel like i have a small portion of my food on the very back of my tongue or just in the back of my throat. When i have cleared my throat as if i had flim stuck in my throat there is small chewed food i clear back into my mouth. I feel as if i am not understanding the feel of the muscle when i activate the swallow. I do push the tongue up into the soft pallet, but im not sure if its the full back third. When i do the really cheesey smile swallow i feel as if i was doing it correctly as i notice the same third pushed up. I still get some food on some of my swallows remaining in the back of my tongue, or throat. Will continue to work on this. Thanks for the informative videos

@dominicfanous31405 жыл бұрын
Some questions... 1) should the tip of your tongue be pressing forward and upwards against that soft part between your front teeth and the ridges, or not? (with obviously the back of your tongue pressing up against your pallete). 2) Should you manually adjust your mandible jaw forward to match your maxilla jaw, or should I just keep it how it is originally with teeth slightly apart? 3) And won't both sets of teeth be misaligned after physical results start taking place? 4) And finally, will mewing affect the size/shape of your nose? Thanks Спасибо Д
@Drwilsonfit5 жыл бұрын
1) they say not to worry too much about the tip of the tongue but to make sure youre pressing the whole tongue up. 2) yes you should align your front teeth with each other but make sure not to clench them together hard, make it soft like a “butterfly bite”. Try sounding out the letter ‘S’ and thats where you should bite (not hard). 3) they say the lower jaw follows the growth of the upper jaw. 4) mewing wont change the size or shape of a nose but since the maxilla (bone around the nose) is rising, the nose will look smaller.

It's really hard if you don't have a strong tongue, try doing some tongue click exercises. Suck the tongue on the roof of the mouth and try to make a loud click when it drops. do this 30 times 3 times a day for 2 weeks. You should have more control with your tongue making this easier.
@sdowen126 жыл бұрын
I still dont understand this... where is this "suction" coming from? In order for me to get saliva from under my tongue, I inevitably have to suck in my cheeks it seems and I'm not sure if this is supposed to be happening. Like, I have to suck in my face kind of like the warheads candy logo guy. Maybe its because I have to get all the liquid from between my teeth and face skin? Im not sure maybe I'm overthinking it. The problem is once I make that suction I have to open my mouth a bit to let out the air.

I've actually had the same problem Owen, due to my narrow pallet I didn't have adequate room to properly mew. I just kept in a little air for some time then when my pallet widened a bit I am now able to fit my entire tongue. it took about 4 months for me so it will be a while.

I should have specified, I can swallow correctly with the tongue on the roof of the mouth and everything, its just when gathering saliva and liquid for a swallow I have to suck in my cheeks to get all the liquid onto the roof of my mouth behind my tongue for a swallow

Is there any possibility of getting your lips to look or grow fuller with a proper technique?

Hanny Stardast That makes sense since I've noticed recently that I always press my lips in a certain way hence why I have a bitchy resting face, thank you

Hey, if anyone can help me, I can swallow correctly, my buccinators aren’t popping up anymore. But I have to take very little amounts of water to swallow correctly, and I haven’t enough time to drink at least 3 liters a day. So, is this normal, is the correct swallowing this slowly?
