KZbin generally performs worse in January, and actually December generates higher-than-average revenue compared to other months. There’s actually a monetary gain for Scott to make all his videos for December and nothing for January, he’ll get great exposure even with no uploads.

Interesting thought I had while watching this: most of your other times in the tier list so far are with Pokémon evolving throughout the play through, which likely contributes to the giant gap between mewtwo and everyone else. I can't lie.. Every. Single. Time. I collect TM43 pulling down Camper Flint his dialogue makes me think of your old GF memes. In Erika's gym it's worth considering battling the trainers on the right side for 6 SpA EVs instead of 2 Atk, and 1 Def EV. It's 1 more Pokemon to defeat, but those EVs sure are nice. Mewtwo would have done better against the Poison types on the other side against that nasty Exeggcute! The sub 50 min time is absolutely possible. While pursuing Round 2 (going to Sevii Islands after Blaine), my recent Mewtwo run got 49:46 at the end of Round 1. Mewtwo is a monster. Thank you for another great video to cap off your initial FireRed series. I hope you enjoy your time off (aka working on other things).

I suspect kyorge might have a reasonable chance 100% accurate thunders and rain boosted water moves with ice beam coverage seem pretty powerful. its speed might be an issue though.

@@XenithShadow Base 90 speed isn't bad. It also has options in Earthquake, Body Slam, Rock Slide, etc to use its base 100 Attack. It's basically a slower but much more powerful Starmie but probably better because there's more options as far as moves go. Kyogre certainly could outdo Mewtwo. It's got the power (weather-boosted STAB and the bonus of a stronger Electric attack in Thunder that becomes reliable in rain) and it's got the survivability for anything it can't one-shot. Water is better defensively and arguably offensively than Psychic in Gen 3.

Mewtwo did exactly as I expected. And I also think that it can pull a sub 50. It is a lean, mean, ko-ing machine with access to most of the best moves in the game, and access to ice beam and calm mind in earlier battles would have make it easier for Mewtwo to sweep even harder.

Suggestion for future replay run: Modest nature. Physical Mewtwo is decent, but Modest would’ve turned so many 3 & 2HKOs into 2 & OHKOs respectively. Confusion go brr can get you through to Water Pulse & Shock Wave easily

One thing I think that should be implemented in your ranking is either having some way of showing a full evolution line compared to fully evolved starter. Maybe even splitting the rank chart in two? But that might be a little weird cause then we would have to compare a run like this, where there's only 1 stage of evolution, against a full line evolution and also the last stage starter runs. But for someone who is new and, lets say for instance, watches this video first and sees that Dragonite had a terrible time wouldn't know that you did a full evolution playthrough. There's just a lot of information that is lost when just looking at your rank charts for a new viewer.

Use the thief TM for misty battle... 40power dark type move will do more damage than any other move available till the level. It will also help with other psychic types like exeggcute

I think that theres a lot of optimisations of that run with Mewtwo. It probably makes sense to fight a few early optional trainers to speed up the rival 2 fight. I think for Rival 2 being level 15 at the start would have removed the inconsistency and allowed a consistent 2 shot on Pidgeotto. Also Thief for Misty. Then as you mention ice beam for rival 6.
