Hello i just received my mg4 in indonesia. I registered in the qpp. But when i scanned the qr code. It says " qr code is unidentified, pla try again". Very frustrating

Happening also on wife's MG ZS Trophy, Took the car back to where we bought it from and a technician didn't have a clue as he haven't seen this problem before, so he says, and contact MG themselves,. Huh!

i have not been able to bind my vehicle for 1 week - on the app it says ' the service is not available , please try again later ' had the same every day - any ideas ?

Hello, indeed this is a known issue. MG UK have advised us that Android phones experience issues with connecting with the app. In the vast majority of cases, we have managed to fix it for our customers. The best advise we give is to make sure that you have full-strong signal where you are before trying to register/connect. Try it a few times in a place with good signal and it should work. The good news is that as soon as you register, you will not experience this issue again and the app should work as intended. Hope this is helpful.

I found that by simply connecting the car to my house wifi, it sorted this.

Unfortunately not, but you can share the same logins and therefore log in to two phones bound to the same car with 1 set of log in details

Could you please let me know which phone model and operating system version actually binds to the car? MG UK no help at all.

Hello Colin. Both iOs - iPhone and Android phones are able to pair with the car. From experience, Android have more issues with the registration of the user than iPhones i.e. it may take a few tries before user registration works, however, as soon as you are registered, pairing should be as simple as scanning the code and the car automatically pairs.
