MGB Headlamp Switch Failure and Test Old and New

MGB headlight switch for 1974 MGB had a partial failure.. parking lights would work in mid-position, but when turned to full on position for headlights, then non of the lights would work. Here is how a new switch should work.

You can easily take the switch appart and clean the contact point and the small copper slider plate, reassemble including it’s small spring then snap it back together and voilà It works my tale lights come on now.
