For real doe, he using it like its sns lmao. I use raptor set in HR caravan until *9 and its pain in the arse to use because lack of mobility and only relied on regular guards. Using evade set makes my hunt times much much faster.

+M.R "The X" Mostly because for speed runs, having high DPS and "anti-interruption" skills are key. Challenger+2 and Critical Eye+1 are there for DPS, HGE making sure roars don't cause issues, and Honed Blade+Razor sharp greatly increasing DPS -and- stopping interrupts by helping prevent bounces

+AlisterCountel Have you noticed the way he flinches for 1/2 seconds each time he tried to Counter ? Having Guard +2 would've allowed him to get a few more precious seconds (and maybe allowed him to complete the quest below 8 mins)

+M.R "The X" I thought that too, but after testing on Athena's ASS I find that guard/evasion skills really limits my options. In order to get Guard/Evasion+1 I would need to give up HGE and Crit Eye, and and probably Razor Sharp for +2. For reference, my talisman is +4 edgemaster +1 sharpness with 3 slots, almost the same as Canta's.

+Matteus Silvestre Mmmh... Actually, I have a set with Challenger +2, Guard +2, Honed Blade and Razor Sharp. Even if it doesn't have HGE, you don't really need it when Guard Lancing. So I might go and try to beat that quest with it, just to see how it goes... (Guard Lancing is soooo fun BTW, that might be why I'm kinda promoting it ^^")

+Swaggity Swaggy Swag Swag Didn't feel like Tremor Res was necessary since I could easily guardcounter the tremor effects, so I could leave it out and have more freedom in choosing the weapon since I'm not dependant on weapon slots.

+BlastingBoy- Pokémon, Monster Hunter, and More get Athena's Armor set synthesizer and play around with generating sets with skills you're looking for (given the talismans you have). As for skills, the generic ones are attack boosters such as challenger +2 or AuL, and weakness exploit. Luxury skills would be razor sharp, earplug, and maybe focus.

+Pro Txt I wouldn't count out weakness exploit, it has both an affinity boost and more importantly a 5% increase in raw damage on weakpoints, which should be a main focus. (E.g. 5% of 400 raw on a Hmr or GS would be a nice 20 extra raw which I think is more than a powertalon). If you watch other MH youtubers, they often have weakness exploit, and Gaijin Hunter has a video explaining true raw damage which he emphasizes the usefulness of that the extra raw damage that a powertalon offers.

Die Gunlance würd ich so gern richtig gut beherrschen weil mir das Konzept dahinter sehr sehr gut gefällt. aber irgendwie...naja Was Fernkampfwaffen angeht: Ich mag den Bogen sehr. Das Zielen fällt mir auch nicht allzu schwer. LBG geht auch noch. ein Problem hab ich nur mit der HBG.

+ajmphenom The duration of bombs are shorter. Also, monsters can now begin to notice you once there's only like 4-5 seconds left of the smoke. So you basically have a reduced amount of time where you can be free. Also, it doesn't help that the duration of the fence switches in arenas are reduced as well, so multi-monster arena quests are much trickier this time around.
