Hi, Mrs. Lisa! I just tried this recipe and my family loved it. Since I was a child, I loved visiting Chinese bakeries and eating all the different breads and cakes. The past year I started baking and I watch your videos the most! I’ve found that your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Most importantly, I really like that you always give reasons or background info on a certain ingredient or instruction so we can understand the reasoning behind the process. I have not failed a single recipe of yours and my family enjoys eating what I make. I also want to thank you for having English subtitles. Although I am Chinese-American, I can’t read or write Chinese so having subtitles has been really helpful for me. I don’t usually leave comments but I enjoy your videos so much and I just wanted to thank you for the hard work you put into them. Thanks to you, I’m able to connect more with my Chinese heritage and will always have yummy bread to eat. I will continue watching your videos and am always looking forward to the next one!
Hi ,I have made this 3 times but every time same result...the crispy coffee topping become very thin and unable to coat / stick on the buns once baked ~~very thin topping only :( ......still able to see the inner buns, ..dunno what’s the reason..

While piping on top of the dough, did the coffee batter flow? Try adding a bit more flour and reduce the egg.

Hallo don’t like be like this, at least google before u say anything. This bun is called Mexican bun, not Malaysia bun. It originated from Mexico, it is popular not only Malaysia, in Hong Kong too. Thanks to rotiboy, it’s famous all over Asia. I’m a Malaysian too, get your facts right first.
