Good morning Phil , The thing I like about your videos is simplicity ! You have really nice gear and you make photography where you are . This encourages the average photographer as they don't have spend thousands of dollars traveling 1000's of miles to get great shots! The shots are great , you can't beat that 100 mm macro !!! I don't think my little R has focus bracketing ! I can always focus stack!

Nice work Phil. Some of those mushrooms looked so unusual in shape and colors. Looked like a good day out.

Thanks Phil, I also have the R6 ii and the RF 100mm macro. I have not yet used the macro very much. I did not realize the camera would do the compositing! That is very cool. Love your style of simplicity, easy to understand, and a pleasure to watch.

Hi Phil. Really enjoyed this video and have a suggestion. There are various size folding diffusers that you can pop open to create the shade you desired a couple of times. Some of them have built in handles while being lightweight and portable too.

Great video Phil, glad to see u having fun with macro. Love that level especially now with the focus stacking. What a difference from our film days. Keep up the good work.

Nice shots! You got a lot of variety of fungi. I liked the color of the newt. Don't be so hard on the waterfall shot, I thought it turned out great.

@@PhilThach I'm planning on upgrading from the EOS R to the EOS R5, thoughts?
@PhilThach7 ай бұрын
@@TC_Conner There are great prices on the R5 right now or you could wait a couple of months and get an R5 Mark II. It will not be on sale, however.

@@PhilThach Thanks for the advice. I may wait, but having the R5 now for a wedding in July and a wedding shower in August would be great!

I enjoyed the video. I recently subscribed after seeing you on the Tim Childers Photography channel. Just an FYI, the first mushroom that you photographed was a Russula, the second one was a Boletus, the third and fourth were Amanita varieties, the fifth was a Chanterelle, and the sixth was Honey mushrooms. (Chanterelle's are very good to eat, by the way.) Finally, the occasionally wet area you photographed is called a vernal pool. These are very important areas for the development of a wide variety of amphibians. I love your photography work!

Thank you very much on a number of subjects. First, I appreciate you having a look at my channel after seeing me on Tim’s video. Second I appreciate all the knowledge about the species of mushrooms and the vernal pool. And finally, I appreciate the nice comment about my photos. The video I made that day with Tim comes out sometime over the next couple of weeks. I had a really fun day doing street photography with Tim and I enjoy all three of his KZbin channels.

Really glad to see macro stuff again. Great photos as well. Now... What are your thoughts on the Z6iii?
@PhilThach7 ай бұрын
Thank you! I think the Z6iii looks great but I also think “partially stacked” is marking jargon, not a real thing. The camera still suffers from some rolling shutter issues. I think that term is misleading.

@@PhilThach I think video folk will like the new video more than photo snappers. Maybe Nikon will send you one for a test!
