How to directly access #MIB2 filesystem in Technisat unit, over #FTP, with a WiFi connection. This will let you browse system files and customize some elements of the Infotainment system in your car. You can modify skins, system sounds, backup FEC/SWaP files, alter some of the system configuration files, and more.
ℹ️ Requirements
MIB2 Standard unit, made by #Technisat, with GPS navigation and WLAN/WiFi, software not higher than 04xx.
Notebook with FTP client.
Doesn't matter if you have VW (Golf MK7, Passat B8, Polo), Seat (Leon 5F) or Skoda (Octavia 5E) or other VAG car. MIB2 Standard system by Technisat underneath is the same.
🛠 Procedure
1. Make sure that you have enabled developer mode and installed MIB2 STD Toolbox.
2. Create hotspot from the MIB2 Setup screen.
3. Enter MIB2 STD Toolbox, go to network page, and enable FTP access.
4. Connect your notebook with the MIB2 WiFi network
5. Open an FTP app, enter connection details (server: 192.168.2.1, login: root, password: root)
6. Browse the file system, create backup before changing anything.
7. Press and hold volume knob for 10 seconds to reboot MIB2.
