Michael is a very underrated guitarist. I've been a fan since the late 80s. One of the the fastest and note perfect players I've ever seen. Also one of the nicest and people I've ever met.

Michael is amazing plus I was in a band with him and witnessed every time we use to play

Yes, he was in a band called Nitro (speed metal, back in the days). Not a widely known band, but he's an absolute legendary guitar player. He has a four headed guitar in an x pattern. An absolute GOAT !! On another note. The lead singer from Nitro was in an episode of Mythbusters. On, if an unamplified human voice could shatter crystal glass. Spoiler alert, he did.

If I am not mistaken, Nitro had just about the most epic hair of all of the hair bands of the 80s.

@@mrd4785 I would have to agree with you on that one, except David Coverdale from White Snake.

His picking technique is extremely efficient.

He's using jazz technique, called conservation of motion... No unnecessary movement of your fingers! Plus... a LOT OF WORK! And.. IT'S REAL!!!!!!!!!!! It's ABSOLUTELY A LOT OF WORK TO DEVELOP THAT KIND OF FINGER STRENGTH TO PLAY WITH ONLY ONE HAND WITH HAMMER-ONS AND PULL-OFFS!!!!!!!!!! DON'T BE DISCOURAGED! HE'S A ONE OF KIND FREAK OF NATURE, LIKE EDDIE VAN HALEN!!!!!!!!!! And the famous riff is Jimi Hendrix purple Haze! Never mind... You got it! And, the rest of the famous riffs!

Michael Angelo Batio is one of the few men in the world who has reached the point of being considered by his colleagues and specialized critics as a GUITAR GOD.! Along with other big names like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Jason Becker among others. But his way of playing breaks all logic, it is ridiculously obscene and magical that very few people in the world manage to do. His muscle memory in his hands is on another level that definitely doesn't belong to us.

It is real and you are right , the faster he plays the less his hands seem to move. He has great economy of motion , only moving enough to sound the note. While Batio records mostly instrumental albums he has recorded an album with vocals called Hands Without Shadows 2 - Voices. A friend of mine , Warren Dunlevy Jr , was the vocalist for that album. Batio came to our hometown to sit in with Warrens band at the time so i've seen Batio play this guitar live. The guitar is actually 2 guitars that join together so to answer your question , the guitar case isn't as crazy looking as you would think cause its two cases , one for each half of the guitar. Michael Angelo Batio is a very humble , super nice guy to talk with. He's a Chicago native.
