I was talking to someone the other day and it came up in the discussion that recognizing some recurring problems in your life, and seeing your involvement in the outcome (what you did wrong) is farther than most people ever get in addressing their own personal issues. This video helped cement that point to me, we can continue to live in thematic circles or we can seek to understand our prison. Explosions and violent outbursts are recognizable. They're easy to put the blame on someone or something. But nuanced reactions and intricate, innocuous human behaviours can be explained away for someones whole life while alienating others. That's my interpretation, anyways.

There’s something about Michael Chandler. Someone below me says Chandler’s philosophy is like GSP, but I think his philosophy is even “higher”. GSP’s philosophy is from the viewpoint of someone recognized as the greatest martial artist. Chandler’s philosophy comes from someone who isn’t recognized. He’s a three time world champion yet still not recognized. Not many people can have the conditions GSP has, being recognized, expected to be great and can be great. More or less, we are like Chandler, we want to be great, we can be great, yet not many people do so.

I agree with James Decastro on another Chandler video. The first time I ever saw him fight was while I was randomly watching a Bellator main event with him vs Brent Primus. I didn't know who he was, but when I saw him still give it everything he had on 1 leg, I knew this guy was something special. He was throwing bombs on 1 leg. A lot of fighters are too afraid to do that on two legs. He gets a knockdown, and came very close to winning that fight (in my opinion). When the ref steps in you can see the disappointment and frustration on him. He's not feeling sorry for himself, he's just genuinely disappointed that outside forces are preventing him from continuing (which I guess is him demonstrating the opposite of the victim complex). When he's on the stool while the doctor is talking it over with the ref, he's standing up and hyping up the crowd and saying LET'S GO. Who does that? This was the mind of the champion described in the last 75% of this video. The indomitable spirit. And during his interview I remember he says something along the lines of "CUT IT OFF! CUT THIS THING OFF, I'll KEEP GOING"' "Brent you better train hard boy, I'm coming back with a vengeance". From that point on I always wondered "when is he fighting again?" Chandler is a true modern day gladiator.

A master class in self reflection. The story of the old man, the testimonies by chandler and jokko, it all held that mirror right up close. This is going to stick with me for awhile. Im almost 49, and im emotionally bankrupt, and struggle with getting through each day. My life is empty. It feels empty. So much to unpack. But i got just enough of a kick in the ass from this video to re-assess where i am. Edit: i commented before i had a chance to here the words of the priest. Holy shit. Im going to write the last statement down, so i can look at it every time i need a reminder. That was one sledgehammer of a closer there mmw. There's still life in you. What if you get to live to 90+ yrs old. That's 40+ yrs left on this earth. Instead of lamenting about wasted opportunities in the past, focus on not wasting what's in front of you now. I was going through intense depression and addictive behavior that was taking complete control over my life. Your channel has been what really has saved me. I was going through victim blaming myself subconsciously and not taking “extreme ownership” of my life. Your video has once again helped my life for the better and for that I am extremely grateful. I had a lot of what I wanted for so long, goals I´ve been working towards for over ten years. But then I realised that with having all that, I wasn´t happy. that made me fall into a deep hole, with a lot of questions on being able to trust myself with what I want and if my intrinsic motivation is to be believed or if I´m only manipulating myself to do something I think is right without knowing what I truly want. This video is the perfect story to that situation and it really lit a fire again. Thank you very much, my friend. I don´t know if you realise it, but you do make an impact on others lifes. Damn. I had been getting lazy on watching this one since I wasn’t giving myself enough time to watch it, but I’m glad I got over that. What an incredible and honestly impactful piece of reflection on the traps some of us can and have fallen into. The last 5 or so minutes are just outstanding, as well as the intro. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Dude, you make better videos than 200-million-dollar-Hollywood movies, you’re a brilliant artist and I am so blessed to watch this art you make. Thank you, 10/10.

Good job with this one. Thanks for making it. And good by Chandler to pick himself up the way he did. Now go get that belt, Michael Chandler.

This really hits different considering now he is back on a 2 fight skid, two extremely close and impressive performances though. I would love to see him bounce back and get back to a title shot.

Welcome back, MMW. Another phenomenal video, per usual. Incredible. If greatness is truly defined by impact, both you and Michael are well on your way and then some. Thank you for the story, as always. I have no doubt it will fuel the fires of many internal flames. It certainly has for me, time to win the day!

It might not be the main focus of this video, but the line "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" is something that's stayed with me since this video came out. Thanks again for another great video!
