MJ’s dance breaks are so iconic!!! His music video premieres were an event all the biggest networks would air it simultaneously. I remember watching this in my living room the night it premiered with my parents and 2 younger sisters and being absolutely speechless even as a 12 year old girl I could see like millions of other kids that he was a very rare and very special artist. How lucky we were to be able to watch this man’s genius in real time as it happened, and while he may be gone physically what he created for all of us is eternal! #LongLiveTheKing

Michael didn't call them music videos, but rather short films. That's how he conceived his videos. Several have much longer versions like Bad, Smooth Criminal, etc. There's a 16 minute version, a 45 minute version... what was played on MTV were usually the short ones that were just the music. Many also have an additional beginning and end.

This music video was an all black cast directed by a black director named John Singleton and this video was first premiered in February 1992 for Black History Month. Even though Mic skin disease call Vitiligo was getting the best of him, he still showed everybody that he was not losing connection to who he is and where he comes from. Excellent reaction S.
