i've never seen an act quite like the one he puts on his shows. he carries his performances as if he talks to a couple of old friends about odd or funny things he's gone through in life. when he tells a joke, he himself laughs at it or at the situation, as if the audience's response rubs off on him. he is never michael mcintyre the comedian on stage, he's just a dude who's here to have a quick little chat and grab a beer. his comedic mode is astoundingly natural and convincing. he doesn't recite from a script written in his mind--he looks as if he makes things up along the way. like in a normal day-to-day conversation. never been a witness of such brilliance, truly. what a man.
